Aedes tap tap and tapped away at her smartphone, checking in on her various accounts still waiting for the big break of becoming an online media sensation. Honestly if she could capture the attention of few celebrities like Malara again everyone will know her name! At least Endrit treated her well, treating her like the princess that she is. At first she was mortified when she realized that this loser half vampire was going to be her foster parent but a few days she acclimated to her new environment. Endrit may not have been of wealth nor prestige but he at least treats her right. The apartment was... not ideal but it sure beat out what felt like a prison cell back at the Child Services building. Endrit even allowed to her decorate the as she pleased. It took very little convincing to dress up her bedroom in that drew inspiration from gothic sub-culture, blacks and whites with accents of red to liven up space. To most the room would appear quite dark, its only illumination was her phone screen but she was a creature of the night and could easily see everything even in this dim light.

"And... sent~" mused Aedes as she sends out comment before hoping off her bed, phone still in hand, approaching the door to the main room of the apartment. She doesn't even bother opening the door, instead transforming into a swarm of mosquito that slip under the crack of the door and appears on the other side as the mosquitoes reform into her humanoid form.

"Eeeendrit? Are you here?" called out Aedes as she eyes scanned around the area to see if her foster dad was indeed here.

Endrit had just gotten in, after having been out doing errands and getting groceries. It took a few minutes to get everything put away and organised, but he eventually got there. To reward himself, he decided to crash out on the couch. Crashing out basically meaning, he sat gloriously slouched as he started to nod off a bit.

That was when he heard buzzing and he knew Aedes was coming out of her room. He really wished she would just open the door. He sat up straight and blinked as much tiredness from his eyes as he could. He stifled a yawn as he adjusted his eye patch. Finally, he was ready to talk to Aedes. Which could get pretty exhausting. They had some pretty conflicting personalities.

Alright, deep breath. "Yeah I'm here." He called out from where he sat. Now, he was happy to have Aedes in his life and hoped that he could guide her, but parenting was definitely hard. Especially when you started on a few month old half-demon, half-vampire who kinda defaulted out at 12.

"Oh you are here. Though... you don't seem all there. You look a bit tired. Was running few errands really all that exhausting?" inquired Aedes as she strolls past Emmrit, before spinning right around to face him. "Anyway, did you get anything worthwhile you were out you slouch? While you out I was doing that homework assignment that the teacher assigned."

Technically this wasn't a lie either, she did actually do her homework though hardly put much work into it. She had some nerd feed her the answers on her phone and all she had to do was just copy the answer in her own words. Its a amazing how complaint some insecure kids are when you threaten to tell their crush about their gross attraction to them. She was sure that she could have done the work herself anyway but why waste her own time when she can get someone else to it for her? Not like she had a lot of time to spare...

With this though, Aedes wrinkled her noise, as she she caught the whiff of something rancorous for second. The fact that she only had an estimated lifespan of 8 years did NOT sit well with her... not when she deserved to be immortal.

He let Aedes talk before he did anything particularly noticeable. He straightened himself out more so he sat on the couch properly, and nodded along to what she said. For most people, errands wouldn't be exhausting. However, Endrit has to do all of his errands and housework in the day, so that the evening and night would be free for his job. This obviously meant it could get tricky to fit some sleep in.

Add in pretty much all that keeps him awake, including Aedes, then yes. He is tired. But he had mastered the way to not give away what he truly felt a long time ago. "Oh, no. It was just fairly busy and it took me a while to be able to get back home." To be fair, this wasn't exactly a lie but it was a bit exaggerated.

As Aedes talked about doing her assignment, Endrit smiled a little. "I'm glad to hear you're getting on alright with homework." He thought for a bit. He was definitely still new to this whole parent thing. "How have you been getting on at school? Making any friends?" He tilted his head a little as he spoke.

The rancid though of her own mortality evaporated as she remembered herself being in the presence of Endrit

"Yah, I guess I am making friends. I mean, its only natural for people to recognize how great of person I am." answered Aedes, holding out a hand as she starts listing people off of her fingers.

"There is Samantha, Robbie, Adabelle, Dalia..." Aedes paused at her consideration of Dalia as a friend. The two were always trying to size up one another in trying to be the most popular girl and while part of her sees her as rival... part of her almost respects her. Almost though.

"Well Dalia is sort of friend I guess but don't tell anyone else that. I don't want her getting a big head or anything just because I find her tolerable. Well speaking of making friends,I was also thinking about joining some of the school clubs... may drama? Dance? Or that Rising Stars club... assuming they have members that is. Maybe I can try out for the cheer squad squad when I get a bit older! What do you think Endrit? Do you think I have what it takes to climb the ranks of the cheer squad?"

Aedes then strikes a pose, flashing a smile holding out her hands pretending that she is flickering pom-poms about in stereotypical fashion.
