Gelk waited patiently in the basement of Blackthorn LLC’s headquarters. They needed a job and security was at least slightly like what he had done before.

When he had arrived at Blackthorn headquarters he was told to fill out an application. After submitting it Gelk was soon escorted to the basement to wait. Gelk’s size charm had been going haywire for a while so Gelk had to sit down on the floor to better fit in the room. For Gelk being moved to the basement to wait wasn’t at all suspicious, they didn’t know much about Earth practices still.

"Of all the things to stroll into this place huh?" Haru gave a closemouthed smile while flipping through the application her secretary had handed her. No one could understand it but a few people from the building. It was ancient and one your everyday Prax wouldn't be familiar with. However, growing up the daughter of two cults made the divine language legible to some degree. Though if the writing didn't explain who had shown up the image provided would.

Gelk was something that people in more religious circles spoke about. It made sense that they would also be feeling the effects of Mes and that all those tales told to pious little children were completely fabricated. Handing the paperwork to the Prax assistant next to her Haru thanked them and told them they didn't need to come any further. "We can't just leave you alone madam."

Haru gave a dismissive wave while standing behind the door where Gelk was escorted "Nonsense If he had worse intentions I don't think he'd deal with the paperwork." She chuckled before pushing the door open and seeing the large figure. This charm malfunctioning was making space accommodations harder but thankfully she listened to her peers and got larger spaces below ground.

"To think I'd meet another religious legend while on the island. A pleasure to make your acquaintance Gelk. I've heard much about you from when I was a kid..and today as well." She smiled and offered her comparatively small hand to shake.

Gelk has been waiting in the basement for a short amount of time before Haru showed up. Once she did Gelk stopped whatever Gelk thing they were currently doing and looked at her. She certainly was Prax, that was something Gelk could tell easily.

As she extended her hand for a friendly greeting Gelk stared at it for a short moment before extending his own hand. Due to his immense size he only barely closed around Haru’s hand and shook it so he wouldn’t crush it. As a response to her greeting Gelk just gave a simple grunt, which sounded like the sound of scraping metal.

Haru gave a friendly nod, removing her hands from the giant's pseudo grip. " I understand you wanted to work here. However, I think you can understand why that may be difficult. Not only is communication key in this field of work so is demeanor."

Haru stretched both her arms out, palms open and up. "On one hand you are known as a vicious killer whose actions could be considered by some to be unforgivable. On the other, you are just another person affected by the complexity that is existence."
She would close her hands

" I think you are a latter...second one. Some people call death inherently evil but my family has never been inclined to that notion. Just because you were created for harm doesn't mean you cannot do good in this world so I am willing to make a compromise."

Haru's closemouthed smile grew a bit wider. " I will pay you a wage while me and my associates attempt to.....acclimate you to the new life you are pursuing. Reform is one of the holiest of tenents is it not? " She chuckled "If you are willing to practice and learn I see no reason you couldn't be more then a weapon."

Not once in all her life did Haru believe she would be offering a divine being a job, especially not one from her people's faith. Seeing Gelk stand before her, wanting, was somewhat flattering and inflating to her ego.

Communication and demeanor were big parts of the job? Communication might be an issue, Gelk knew that much, but wasn’t his demeanor good for this type of work? They wouldn’t ask about that though.

Gelk watched Haru for a moment, they were thinking carefully about what she was saying. “Kill....because I am told. Will not if not told. That is my promise.” Gelk’s voice was deep and echoey. Gelk needed a purpose and this job was the one closest things to what he did before with Khalida. Sure he could have entered the arena but he didn’t have anyone or anything to serve there so what was the point?

Haru made an audible hmmm noise after hearing Gelk speak. If anything it confirmed that given the chance he could communicate somewhat what was on his mind. The whole grunting thing may have made this a rather cryptic conversation on her part. " I'm glad to hear you won't be killing anyone unnecessarily but we will still have to train you in our ways here..."

Haru would turn around to the door to see her assistant warily come in. Haru gave her a smile for growing some courage and coming inside despite the fact that deep down she hated this whole situation. " .....Fine, I suppose we can see how things work out with a trial period. Though I will expect several things from you. One, you will train down here with some of our instructors until they deem you ready for work. Don't worry you will be given a salary, though reduced in comparison to your other coworkers. Two, work with me to better your communication skills. Understanding you will make this relationship much easier for me. Lastly, if you have any issues do not be afraid to call me."

Bowing Haru would say " I would love to see you prosper in your new lifestyle so don't hesitate to ask me questions. Moving can be hard, especially from a life filled with violence and wanton murder. If you can turn your life around then you'd be a prime example of the Mantos Carlos Dream."

Gelk turned to look at the assistant who was brave enough to venture in for a short period before turning back to Haru. In total this was a very fair deal that Gelk was being offered to work here. “Very.....well.......do I train....now?” Gelk’s echoey voice came out from his helmet. He wasn’t sure what Haru wanted of him now that the deal has been made.

Haru eyes blinked surprisingly at Gelk question. A small laugh escaped her before her hands found her hips "Well I sure do like your enthusiasm Gelk but I think you should take the rest of the day to yourself and we can start fresh tomorrow.....actually did you have a number listed we can call you at?" Haru's mind progressively questioned before she immediately followed up with another question "Where are you staying currently Gelk?"

The being was large and it seemed that socializing was still an issue. Had the government helped him settle down? Maybe someone else here recognized him and let him board with them? If so she would need to keep an eye out. Not everyone on the island was trustworthy. People looking to exploits others was commonplace, especially among new migrants.

Gelk thought for a long moment before listing off his cellphone’s number slowly, it took almost a minute and a half for Gelk to finish all the numbers of his phone number. “Have.....tiny apartment.” The apartment was actually normal sized but for Gelk it was certainly small and they really couldn’t move around in their full size without serious difficulty in it.

Haru frowned at the idea of someone being shoved into a confined space. Not only was it uncomfortable but borderline demeaning. Shaking her head Haru voice took on a more assured tone "That won't do at all, I will have some friends of mine look into better accommodations and then we can see about getting you moved." Haru had made a few freidns in the real estate sector after the influx of immigrants that came in from Mes. People needed homes and luckily Manta Carlos had the space to share...for the right price of course.

"Did you get the number down?" she asked her assistant behind her who was adding it onto the corner of Gelks application. "Yes, Ms.Haru" the assistant replied. Nodding she turned back to Gelk "I think this could be the start of a rather wonderful friendship Gelk. Do you have any questions on my part? I'll be happy to provide them."
