Deacon looked at her as he handed over her cheesy noodles. He took note of her smile. She has such a nice smile. He wondered why she never showed it before...then it hit him. He smiled back lightly then seated himself across from her. He took a bite out of his muffin before answering to her thought. "Despite my big mouth, I have a little stomach." he explained to her.

"Despite my big mouth, I have a little stomach."

Well, he was very skinny, and she couldn't say she really ate that much either. But just a muffin and a bag of chips? She'd make sure he ate better at dinner. She glared at him, but let it go quickly, because frankly, she felt hungrier than she'd ever felt before.

She took another bite of her noodles, enjoying them silently. Though, she looked up, seeing Deacon eating his own food, and hoped he was enjoying himself just as much as she. Despite her quiet nature, she really did care about people who were kind to her.

However her mind suddently floated to the future, wondering what they would do next. It was up to Deacon really, because Eloi had no idea where everything was, or what was even here. When she had arrived, after leaving the Head Mistresses office, she just headed one way on the path, and ended up at the lake. Coincidentally, she happened to meet Deacon.

Indeed the only feature of Deacon's that would be considered 'big' was his mouth. What could possibly stop him from talking? He liked to talk. He was glad that he now had someone here who was willing to listen, even if that person wasn't able to actually talk back. Normally he would consider eating a lot more at this time of day, but he felt that his muffin and chips would suffice for now.

He took another bite of his muffin. He was surely enjoying it; it was chocolate chip, and he loved chocolate, so, in essence, it sort of suited him well. He watched as she consumed her noodles. From the looks of it, she probably doesn't eat much either. He pondered what they could possibly do next. Since coming here, Deacon hasn't been outdoors. He'd make sure to do so, hoping he could take her with him.

"Hey, uhh, if ya have time...uhh...maybe we can get together...and...y'know...hang out?" he asked nervously, thinking that she would probably be afraid to go outside...the way she was...

While she was eating her noodles, her eyes seemed to wander around the caferteria. She couldn't say she saw any blue skin, but there were definately appearances that were different from 'the average human.' Then she looked back at Deacon as his voice broke her trance to the low rhythmic sound of the room's voices.

"Hey, uhh, if ya have time...uhh...maybe we can get together...and...y'know...hang out?"

Eloi blinked a few times. She could detect a bit of nervousness in his voice and wasn't sure why. She set her fork down, and her lips curved slightly upwards. She nodded slowly, and thought that as long as he was by her side, and no one would make fun of her... She'd be okay. Right? Right. She picked up her fork again, and took her last bite of cheesy noodles. There was still half of it in the bowl, but she was getting full. "Will there be a lot of people there?"

"People? Uhh..." He would have to think about that one for a moment. Since coming here on his own will, he had never been outside. 'Outside' meaning away from school grounds. He had only been in the lawn some time ago and in the lake just now, where he just so happened to meet Eloi, surprisingly enough.

When she nodded, saying that she would go with him, he smiled in excitement. He was a bit worried for this girl. Considering her features, she probably didn't want to be seen by others. He shook his head as he thought about this. He wouldn't want anything bad to happen to his new friend. Better yet, he wouldn't let anything bad happen to her, not now.

To answer her question...

"Chances are there will be. I haven't been outside the school yet. It would be nice if someone were to join me to...uhh...explore?"

Eloi pushed the bowl of cheesy noodles away from her, and wiped her mouth with a napkin, as she finished. She looked at Deacon, and bit her lip for a second. She didn't think he would let anything bad happen to her, though she wasn't sure if she completely trusted him yet. She was very, very, very close, though. Just, not quite. It was hard for her.

"Chances are there will be. I haven't been outside the school yet. It would be nice if someone were to join me to...uhh...explore?"

Eloi fumbled with her scraf for a moment, thinking over the possibilties. People might stare, but then, if Deacon was with her, it would be okay, right? She nodded slowly, and brought her lip ring into her mouth for a moment, playing with it. She let go of it, and stood up. Though she didn't move, and waited for Deacon to make sure he was ready as well.

Just seconds after she arised from her seat, so did Deacon. He took the last few bites of his muffin, then tossed the wrapper into a trash can nearby. He would save the chips for later. He gestured for her to follow him as he would now make his way out the door. "C'mon." With that, he ventured off, looking back periodically to see if she would really go after him.
