He just looked her in anticipation as he waited for her to give some form of an answer. When she nodded, he guess that meant "Yes" and broke into a big smile. He was taken by surprise when she grabbed his hand. "Oh..?" When she did that, he face turned the same color as his hair and eyes. "Uhh...I'm...gonna take that as a 'Yes'. So uhh...where to?" he asked, hoping to get at least a sign as to what they could do together.

Eloi's grin turned into a smile as he turned a bright red, and she laughed. He asked where to, and she thought for a moment. She was new to the campus, so she didn't know where anything was yet, or where they was to go. She shrugged, and looked to him to decide. Surely he'd think of something to do, and something to talk about. He was really good at that! She looked up at him, and couldn't help but giggle a little as she thought he looked quite adorable blushing.

"Ya want me to decide don't ya? Alright then..." He thought for a moment on what to do. Perhaps something to eat, or going somewhere outdoors. He shrugged then looked at her, his face still beat red. "Ya hungry? Maybe we could eat somethin' down at the cafeteria or somewhere else? Or anywhere else...?"

Food? Eloi liked that idea. She hadn't been to the cafeteria yet... She bet there were a lot of people in there. It would definately be scary. She wasn't sure if she wanted to go to the cafeteria, but she was hungry. She patted her stomach, and nodded. She was starving. Maybe with Deacon's help she'd be okay around all the different people staring at her. Not most people walked around with blue skin, unfortunately.

Deacon smiled when she nodded. The only place he knew around here that had food was...well...the cafeteria. He hasn't been outside the Academy since he came here. His own stomach growled furiously, as if it were nagging at him about not being adequately filled. He slowly began to lead her to the cafeteria.

As they ventured towards what Deacon proposed was the cafeteria, Eloi wondered if she should tell Deacon that she was scared. She looked over to him, and seemed a little deteremined to get food. Perhaps he was just as hungry as she was. She squeezed his hand a little, maybe that would tell him she was scared...

Deacon stopped when he felt a bit of pressure on his hand. He stopped himself in his tracks and looked over to Eloi. "Ey, what's wrong?" Then it hit him. Considering her blue skinned exterior, he figured that she was nervous for some reason. He shrugged. "Ah, well, we'll just take it slow then..." He took a few steps ahead then waited for her. "Don't be afraid now. If you're scared, you have you're friend right here. If anybody got a problem I'll fry'em!" he said jokingly with a wink.

"Ey, what's wrong?"

Eloi bit her lip, and pointed towards the cafeteria, and made little mouths with her hands, and then the mouths started to become violent with one another, and she looked up at Deacon worriedly. She was afraid someone might be mean to her for being blue, and for being telepahtic.

"Don't be afraid now. If you're scared, you have you're friend right here. If anybody got a problem I'll fry'em!"

Eloi smiled weakly, and she wrapped her arms around Deacon. She felt really lucky to have met a nice person like him... "Thank you.." She told him through her thoughts.

Deacon just watched on as she started to make hand gestures. After witnessing this, he had a little trouble deciphering them. Then it hit him. The opening and closing of the hands probably meant 'talking.' She did it with both hands, meaning that it was probably more than one person. Could that possibly mean that people would talk about her? Deacon was a bit discouraged by this possibility. It seemed that people really do treat her as an outcast. Not good.

He was once again taken by surprise when he Eloi's blue amrs draping his body. She hugged him. It felt good to be hugged. So he would do the same in return. Slowly he wrapped his arms around her body to return the hug. It was then that he heard the voice in his head again. He knew it would be the closest thing to an actually voice that he'll ever hear, but it would be sufficient. "You're welcome...ya ready to get goin' now?"

Eloi blushed as Deacon wrapped her arms around her too, and she let go of him, embarrassed. Though she still held his hand. She didn't know why, but being with Deacon made her feel better. Maybe... if she was with someone, they wouldn't be so cruel to her.

"You're welcome...ya ready to get goin' now?"

Eloi looked up at Deacon, and his eyes brought her comfort. That... even if they did talk about her, she'd be okay because he was her friend. She squeezed his again, but with a more of a determined squeeze. She nodded, and gave a weak smile.
