But I do hope you find yourself home in Manta Carlos.", she didn't speak on her guess of his species, not wanting to risk upsetting Darzih, and didn't take long for her own identity to come into question, "What I am... That depends on the specifics. Being most specific, I am part Phoenix and part Vermilion Bird. As for my gender and pronouns associated to it, I am a female of my kind."

Darzih thanked the woman politely, yet as she continued to speak, his expression became confused once again.

"I'm not from this dimension, so many species names mean nothing to me yet. I do know what a bird is, as for your pronouns... she and her are feminine pronouns, yes? I'm still learning the proper usage of pronouns... and how to differentiate between female and male here. Many of the humans and human-looking ones look very similar."

"An immortal. A common enough attribute. Fearing an eternal fate is reasonable." Darzih had moments of worry of where his life would lead, but he always shrugged them off soon after.

"All new species are difficult to differentiate. I'm more familiar with some species of birds than humans... Not that any of them would likely be here. Different habitats."

"That common?!", Serena gave another shocked glance at Darzih, oblivious to how often immortality was common, mainly the kind that doesn't come with obvious weaknesses and flaws. But anyhow... "Hm... In my case it was a little easier, since I was born with a glamour, so my father was able to reassure I was a girl rather than a boy, biologically speaking. Naturally, this doesn't mean choices in my life are all set."

"It's only a guess based on how things worked back home. Many species had infinite lifespans and managed overpopulation in other ways. From what I've seen here, things work similarly." So far he knew vampires tended to be immortal, same with demons, gods, and the 'incomprehensible.'

Darzih didn't have much to say about Serena's sex. It wasn't something he was all too interested in. "Anyway, that's good. I was never raised to care much about those types of things. I've considered what it would be like to be female with the charms, but I don't like the fact that I would have to cover myself up more."

Serena couldn't grasp the idea of a large population being composed of immortals. In her mind, that meant sheer chaos and insanity, as the curiosity of the afterlife always got to her, and the hope for reunion has forever been denied to her. But thankfully Darzih's concern over the struggles of being a female brought Serena back to the conversation mood: "Oh, undeniably so. Although I am a being of sheer warmth, I cannot deny there were times in my life among humans when I desired I could just take off my shirt, but taboos of the time made it difficult to consider."

"I find it funny that such a taboo exists here. Human culture is certainly interesting. To not be allowed to go shirtless only because you have some fat in your chest."

Darzih looked around the park, watching a variety of people pass by. "There's a lot I need to learn about humans to fully understand this mash-up of cultures. I also need to look into other prominent species here too."
