Delores the crowbar was leaned up against the wall as her master went about her work. Said master's work was spray painting the wall in front of him, it was an abandoned building that no one really cared about, in an area currently devoid of potential witnesses, so he was decorating it with his usual demonic symbols and imagery with yellow paint.

His hands and tail worked in synch, a can in each hand and one in his tail, he was actually a pretty skilled artist so his graffiti was much more impressive than what one usually saw. He'd hum quietly, his golden eyes looking over his work as it formed, this was how he vented, this is where his frustrations went.

The young half demon was so absorbed in his work, so much passion being put into this, all his hatred and anger being put into this one piece of vandalism that he almost didn't notice he had a visitor, and when he did notice they were already pretty close.

Turning he looked to the visitor, he didn't say anything for a moment, just blinked in surprise, "oh.....hey Rei," it was a friend at least. "Sooooo.........yeah....whatcha doing?" he asked awkwardly, as if he wasn't on the middle of vandalizing a building. @Keen

What was Kurt doing? Rei had been roaming the streets of Downtown to capture pictures of anything he found interesting, only to stumble upon someone spraypainting on an abandoned building. The actual artwork was nice to look at and was initially why Rei got closer so he could ask for a picture, but it took him getting closer to see it was Kurt doing it.

When Kurt turned around, Rei moved back a bit to give him space. He could tell that his presence made things awkward. Was he looking at something he was not supposed to? Probably. If Rei was correct, graffiti like this was illegal. Maybe Kurt had gotten permission to use this building as his canvas. That must have been it. Kurt did not try to make Rei go away, so that must have counted for something.

Rei avoided direct eye contact with Kurt as he gave an awkward wave. "O-Oh, um, hey... I was taking pictures of stuff. What are you doing?"

The half demon blinked a few times, "uh...well," he'd cough nervously, and set his paint cans down so he could return the wave. "Just....you know...art," he'd glance around, his tail tossing the paint cans into the duffle bag at his feet before sliding Delores in with with them.

He looked at Rei a moment, "oh gods....," he sighed, "I'm sorry...I don't like lying to my friends." The young man's tail scratched the back of his head, "I mean....it is art..just not...legal art." Kurt looked over at the graffiti, "just..trashing stuff I guess."

Kurt looked back to him with a shrug, he knew Rei was smart and wouldn't buy any lies, "soooo....yeah," he sighed, "good to see you anyways."

Before Kurt could admit he was lying, Rei already knew. He was terrible at this. It was actually a bit embarrassing. But this was Kurt, so he must have had a good reason for doing something illegal. After all, he had trouble even keeping his lie up. This was not something he was used to doing.

Rei moved closer to the older boy. His face was in its naturally perpetual frown, but for those who knew Rei, they could most likely tell that he was not angry at all, but confused and worried—which reminded Rei of Kurt's empathy ability. This was dangerous. Not in any way where Kurt could get hurt physically, but where the police could try and track him down and throw him in jail. Not on Rei's watch. Kurt was a friend, and he would not let his friend find himself locked up in some dirty holding cell because he wanted to draw on the side of an old building.

Looking up at Kurt, he tried to shove his feelings of attraction deep down to address the main problem. "Why are you doing illegal stuff? Won't you get in trouble? You're not good at lying." Realizing that was probably too harsh to start with, he finished off with, "But... uh... your art is good... I guess." It was genuine, even if it did not sound like it.

Kurt would chuckle a little, "yeah...maybe it's the empathy, being able to feel other's emotions makes lying feel wrong...I mean it is wrong, but makes it feel more wrong I guess." He looked over the painting, his tail zipping up the bag at his feet, to hide his other tools of mischief.

"Yeah, it's not bad, bigger than my usual projects," he said giving his friend a smile that was full of confused emotions. "You ever seen any yellow paint around here, it was probably me."

"I....," he'd go quiet for just a second, "I don't really know," for someone who could sense emotions he didn't really understand his own. "Maybe it's how I vent stuff," his tail wrapped around his waist, "it's eh, I do it here since most of the buildings here are kinda run down, or abandoned."

His home life had become a little less stressful after his extended family started sending them money, but it was a temporary relief, be could still feel tension in the air, the negative emotions from his parents.

Rei watched Kurt zip up the bag beside his feet. He was unable to see what was exactly in the bag, but something told him it was better unseen. He looked back up at his crush, unsure of how to feel about this entire situation. Should we go to the police and report? No, that would make Kurt hate him for sure. Best thing to do was to try and convince Kurt to stop this completely.

"There are... better ways to vent... You could get into big trouble. What if the police find out?" Rei tried to sound powerful and dominating, but wariness was apparent in his voice. This was stupid. Why did Kurt think this was a good idea? He wanted to be angry, but it felt impossible right now. He was worried and wanted to help his friend. "I can help you find... um... other ways to vent. That won't get you into trouble."

Kurt looked to him, mentally kicking himself, he sometimes forgot how young Rei was. His tail lifted his bag and he slipped his arm through one of the straps, letting it rest on one of his shoulders.

"Eh, I try to only use abandoned buildings," when he could anyways, he didn't really enjoy damaging things per say, it just seemed like a good way to get things out of his system, "could probably find some better things to do though."

He gave him a small smile, "so taking pictures?" he'd ask curious. "A hobby? Think you'll try to be a photographer?"

Rei shook his head. His point had been missed, but Kurt looked to be considering his words. That was something. Something that Rei appreciated. When he could feel himself blushing, he tilted his head down and to the side. "Yeah... you could. I'll help you out.

"And, um, yeah. Well, I don't know what. Taking pictures and videos is relaxing, but I want to play games too. I want to be a gaming livestreamer. I actually wanted to take pictures of your art, but..." But then that would have been proof of illegal activity, and that was too much for Rei to keep on his phone like it was just another piece of nice artwork.

He glanced back at the graffiti, "yeah, I wouldn't want you getting in trouble for having something like that on your phone," his tail scratched the back of his head, "how about I paint you something on a canvas at school later? I was gonna do that for all my friends."

Kurt adjusted his bag, and motioned his friend to follow, "I play games sometimes too, maybe I could play more," his tail would sways slowly behind him as he talked, he'd always liked talking to Rei, even if he was younger.

"Art's always been something I've gravitated toward," he hummed in thought, looking over at a partially broken wall, covered in someone else's graffiti. "Art is....I don't know...it's making something in a way..creating," he'd chuckle quietly, "photography is art, taking the best pics, getting the best lighting and all that."

For once, Rei smiled. It really did seem like his presence here was changing Kurt for the better. He wanted to laugh. Show off his accomplishment and tell everyone that he was a good influence, but now was not the time. Right now, he had to be there for his friend.

"Oh, yeah! You can paint me anything. We can play games at my house too. I have a lot." He smiled proudly at that. Just the idea of bringing Kurt over to his house to play video games made his face flush. It would almost be like... a date.

No, that was not why he was talking to Kurt. There are other things to think about, and now was not the time to have those thoughts. He shook his head a bit, almost like he was trying to shake the idea out of his mind, then looked back up at Kurt. "How about... I show you my pictures and you redraw them? It can be... uh... art practice. Or... I could take pictures of stuff so you can have references."
