"That's fair," one of the twins said, probably Avigail given the slight lilt in the voice. As their food arrived, Avram picked it up and inspected it before taking a bite. "Oh that's good."

"Maybe I can get Avram to go work out. Help him be less of a skinny nerd." there was a laugh and an eye roll, and Avram took another bite of his wrap to shut Avigail up for a few seconds.

"Anyway," he finally said after reasserting himself as the dominant personality. Putting himself back in the driver seat, as it were. "So what uh, I mean on the off chance I did want to work out... what would you suggest for me? Like I'm not interested in getting jacked. Just, ya know," he stopped, shrugging a bit.

Tasha smiled and thanked their server as they sat their food down. She was honestly excited for this. It wasn't often she ate out, and was even rarer that she got to eat out with someone. She took a bite of her own wrap and smiled as Avram seemed to enjoy his as well.
"There's a reason this is one of my favorite places to go. It's hard finding good places that are also healthy. Well...healthier."
The skinny nerd comment came, and Tasha...wait...did she shyly smile and laugh? Taking another bite of her wrap, she almost mimic'd Avram as he took back over and then spoke up again. She made sure to listen closely to what he was looking for.
"Oh I gotcha. No one gets 'jacked' overnight. You think I went to the gym for a month and got this body? No Hun. You gotta start slow, otherwise not only will you be disappointed, get discouraged and quit, but you could also hurt yourself. For you, I'd say a full body workout. General targeting of muscle groups. You don't need an entire workout devoted to just chest, or shoulders yet. Do full body, let it get used to working, getting tired, and recovering. Then break into specific parts to build. And as always, the big C word no one likes to hear. Cardio."
Word vomit. Tasha couldn't help it. She liked Avram and wanted to help him. So when it came to something she knew, she couldn't help but continuing on and on rambling. When she noticed she shook her head with a smile.
"Sorry. I know that's a lot. But I'd be happy to help."

"No no, it's just fine. I think I can work with that. Maybe I'll start going to the gym. Or, I dunno. I'll think about it at least."

As they enjoyed their food, Avram felt himself relaxing more and more. But Avigail was getting antsy in the passenger seat and he could feel it. She wanted the steering wheel, but he was having too much of a good time to let her have it right now.

"So what else do you have planned for the day? After this, I mean. I know you've got to get back to work, but oh my god, Avram. You haven't even finished this one."

He frowned slightly, his conversation turning briefly internal as the twins argued.

"Sorry," he finally said, his voice small and sheepish. "We... I might need to cut us short. Avi and I..." he couldn't continue. There was a lot going on under the surface between the twins that no one knew about and wouldn't - no, couldn't understand. "I'm having a great time, it's just..."

The last word that he spoke, after a moment's hesitation, came out with an inflection that Tasha might have recognized at this point as both twins speaking at the same time.

"Complicated."

They settled into their meal a little more and things seemed to be going well. Tasha was genuinely having a good time with Avram when he asked what else she had planned. A smile came to her face just as Avigail interrupted.
There were certain things you learned after being alive as long as she had been. Patience was one of them. Tasha sat quietly letting them work through things as it seemed difficult for Avram to talk while also having it out with his sister.
"You're fine Sug. I might not understand, but I understand. Here."
Tasha pulled out one of her business cards, flipped it over and wrote something on the back before handing it to Avram with a smile and slightly flushed cheeks.
"When your sister goes for her spa day, give them that. It'll get her half off anything she wants done. Just a little thanks for letting us get lunch."

Avram took the business card with a small, apologetic smile. "Yeah. I'm... we're sorry for this. Really." Was she blushing? Why the hell was she blushing? Avram pocketed the card and stood up slowly to leave, already pulling out his wallet to pay for both of their meals.

Before he left, he leaned over and gave Tasha a very awkward side hug. He considered kissing her... nothing crazy, just a peck on the cheek. But both his own nerves and Avigail's annoyed gagging in their head made him rethink it. "I did have a really good time. Honest. I'd... really like to go out again sometime. When you're available."

"Don't be sorry. You're already the sweetest guy I know."
Tasha stood up quickly when he did. She was slightly surprised as he leaned in for a hug. Two thoughts crossed her mind. The first was to pull him in for a full hug, but then she thought of another.
Just pulling him in a little closer, Tasha whipped her phone out quickly enough a smile.
"Before you go can I get a picture?"
If he accepted she would plant her cheek up against his with a big grin and take a selfie with her phone. After pulling back from the hug, her smile stayed on her face.
"I would love to hang out again. Perks of being the boss, I can take off really anytime. As long as the place isn't burning down."

Tasha's cheek against his was warm and inviting, and the temptation to kiss her again rose up in Avram's mind. But Avigail's voice chiding him with don't even think about it kept him from acting on that urge. So he just smiled and stared at the phone so that she could take the selfie, hoping he didn't look like too much of a moron.

"I'd like to hang out again too," he admitted, readjusting the collar on his shirt once Tasha had released him from the picture. "This was really fun, even if it wasn't as long as we might've liked."

Too long, if you ask me, Avi said in his head, making him grimace just a bit. He knew that she liked Tasha well enough, so he had no idea where this hostility was coming from. They'd need to talk about this later, when they had some actual privacy.

"I'll see you around though. Have a good day at work."

Avram would let Tasha lead the way out, holding the door for her - not because she needed it but because that was, again, what he'd always been taught to do.

Tasha's smile stayed on her face as they made their way to the front door. She knew something was up but it wasn't her place to push the issue. Especially with there being an entire third party involved.
"I honestly had a great time. We will have to do it again."
Thanking him as he held the door for her, she slipped outside and adjusted her bag a bit before turning back to Avram with a little concern on her face.
"If you need to talk, either of you, you have my number."
With that she plucked earphones from her pocketed, slipped them in, and started a playlist. Putting her phone back in her bag, Tasha waved before going into a jog towards her gym.
