On the television screen, the crew of of Enterprise look out, their mood still somber from the loos of their friend Spock yet coming off hopeful. The crew stare out the window, overlooking a starry expanse with a pristine blue world as a backdrop. The scene then fades into a panning shot of lush tropical forest. Orchational music continues to play as the came moves to the slick coffin contain the remains of Spock whom sacrificed himself to save the entire crew of the ship. The camera lingers on the coffin until the screen fades to a view of space once again, the planet and nearby star prominently in view. As the camera moves left to the rest of space, the natrator utters that iconic Star Trek quote:

"Space, the final frontier. These are the continuing voyages of the starship Enterprise. Her ongoing mission to explore strange, new worlds. To seek out new lifeforms and new civilizations. To boldly go where no man has gone... before."

The scene then ends with the credits rolling. Sitting on the couch her her best friend Kris, Nyota inhales and wipes away a the little tear that was in her eye. She had seen this scene about a thousand fucking times with her moms but every time it gets to her... not because it was the ending of one of the best Star Trek movies ever made or the fact that iconic Spock died in this film but because everytime it made her think of her moms whom couldn't help but but bawl and clap their hands even though they have seen this film a million times then she has. They were fricking ridiculous yes but that silly memory always gets her when she watches this movie. She only hoped Kris didn't notice as he would surely poke fun at her for being "soft".

"Alright so thats Star Trek: Wrath of Khan. Yeah its pretty dated by today's standards but... well what do you think? Don't sugercoat it be honest. Your free to disrepect my beloved Star Trek as much as you like." enquired Nyota as she got up from her seat and made her way to the kitchen area of her dorm to fix herself a snack.

Today was the day that the two science fiction nerds got to show off the shows of their favored science fiction shows: Nyota with her Star Trek and Kris with his Star Wars. Never in a million years that she think she be best friends with Star Wars fans, her trekkie parents were pretty tolerant (they were lesbians after all) but part her wondered how much they would freak if she told them that fact. Well when she and Kris learned of each other's dark secrets they decided that instead of vowing to become mortal enemies or some dumb shit... they thought to enjoy their favorite movies together so that they can judge their respective franchises themselves.

Turned out it was lot of fun, yeah they poked fun at each others bias but she had to admit that she enjoy Star Wars a lot more than she thought she would have. Even the prequels which yeah she admits that they are not the best piece of film... they had their moments. And as much as everyone lampooned on Jar Jar... she didn't think of him as that bad of a character. Stupid and annoying yes but he didn't deserve all the hate that internet put on him. Well now that she just showed Kris the best of the Original Star Trek movies, it was time to move onto the Star Wars: Revenge of the Sith. She never seen it before but from what she heard it was the best of the prequel movies so... she was actually looking forward to it! And she could only assume Kris was looking forward to showing her the movie as well.

"Okey so... I guess we will be watching Revenge of the Sith next... but first do you want snacks? I got all sorts of junk food up here so help yourself." spoke up Nyota as she grabbed a liter of Coke-Cola from the refrigerator and set it on the kitchen counter, setting next to her plat full of chips.

((A bit lengthy but this is ment be an introduction. I imagine that Nyota would have shown Kris a few Star Trek episodes and the first Star Trek Movie previously while Kris having shown her her Star Wars Episodes 1 and 2 Previously. If there are any details you have questions about feel free to PM me!))

Kris had been watching intently! Really! Sure, he didn't really like the series all that muc-.. Well he didn't really like it at all. But Nyota did! And his best friend was a good enough reason to watch it without complaining. As the movie was coming down to a close he was left with.. A few questions, sure. He had rolled his head a bit to face his friend, getting a good look at the start of her "water works" that made him let out a soft chuckle. He wasn't going to pick on her. Not yet anyway.

"So. Like.." the boy started out as he moved to stand up with her, "Did he really die or somethin'? I mean, like. He was still in the uh.. That one movie, ya know? The newer one. I think it came out in two thousand an' nine or somethin'?" he asked curiously. Seems like he did some research. ... Or at least just a simple google search.

As he spoke he walked around the couch to pick up his bag. He wasn't quite sure how long he'd be there so he made sure to bring a couple of movies, just in case. At least that's what it sounded like considering there was the sound of more than a couple of DVD cases in the bag when he picked it up!

And out came the movie! Revenge of the Sith. Personally his favorite out of the series. He moved to hop up, over the back of the couch and onto the cushion to stand on it with his sock-clad feet! "Oh yeah! It's time for you to witness the greatest Star Wars movie ever! Of course people always go 'oh the prequels suck. just watch the originals' but they're morons! MORONS, I SAY! I mean. The originals are neat and all but they don't do flips and all the cool stuff while fighting like they do in the prequels." he explained, holding the movie up to the ceiling! Of course he always said that. Especially before the showings of the first two movies. "And of course this is just one of many I plan to show you - and not just Star Wars movies. I have.. Another!"

It was rather easy to tell he was happy that he got to spend this time with his friend. Not just by the smile on his face but by the fact that fluffy tail of his was wagging up a storm behind him! Regardless, at the prospect of snacks he went to gently toss the case down onto the couch and once again hopped over the piece of furniture to scurry on over towards Nyota! This was no surprise. He was rather.. Energetic.

"Snacks. Uhh.." he hummed out as he brought a hand up to his chin in thought, "What about.. Somethin' chocolate. Like snack cakes!" he exclaimed. Of course he would always go for those. However he had the habit of eating waaaaay too many and just straight up getting sick.

(Sorry for the wait! If you have any questions about kris or problems with the post, PM me!)

"Nah, he got better in next movie believe or not. But at the time this movie came out everyone thought that Spock well really dead. My parents legit cried when they saw the movie when it was out in theaters. You know... the ancient times?~ Anyway, the movie your talking about is actually prequel... and also set alternative timeline of the Star Trek universe so... Spock never technically died in that one. But its all a moot point anyway as Spock ends up coming back from the dead in the third Star Trek movie which was called "Search for Spock". I think it was released in... 1980 something." explained Nyota as the star girl uncapped the bottle and poured herself a cup of fizzy soda.

Nyota wore a bemused smile on her face as she listen to her friend rant on about his favored Star Wars trilogy. It was passion that she well understood as nerdy dorks like themselves will pridefully defend their fandoms tooth and nail among those whom would try to denounce them. Never heard anyone whom defended the Star Wars prequels as her friend Kris but who was she to judge?

"Hee... looking forward to having my mind blown by your glowing recommendation! Now I gotta see the best that Star Wars has to offer. Especially see excited you seem fluff butt~" teased Nyota as she eyes the way her friend's tail swings happily like a dog. She had previously heard that out of all the prequels, the third movie was the best but the way Kris boasting was really selling that claim to her. "Well if we have time perhaps we can watch the other movie that you have. So far everything that you have shown me wasn't entirely as much crap as initially thought them to be. Anyway... snack cakes you say? Errr..."

Nyota then looks behind herself, thinking for a moment. She didn't quite have snack cakes but... she did recall that there was half a tray of chocolate brownies in the refrigerator that have been in the there for... a week?

"Ummm... no snacks but we do have some brownies so... how I cut some big old pieces and bring them over as you get the movie ready. Yeah?"

Nyota didn't even bother with waiting for reply from Kris as she strides over the refrigerator and pulls out the brownies. She collects a knife and cuts out two large pieces of brownie onto two paper plates. She then brings the treats over one by one given how difficult it would have been to carry everything in one go even if she still had both of her arms. On her last trip over, bringing with her Kris' brownie, she walks over and slips herself seated just next to Kris. She hold out the brownie just under his nose.

"Here you go dork, one triple chocolate chip brownie with your name on it." spoke up Nyota as she offers her friend the chocolatey treat.

(No problems! Sorry to keep you waiting as well. Last week was rough week for me so apologies to keep you waiting.)
