The other girl was... well, not her. Very not her. Anastasia was serious and too tense, and the other girl was all... well, relaxed.

"My name is Anastasia. Perhaps we should spar, and I can see how your school is?" Simple enough - a friendly spar to see if they were on the same level or not. No injuries. Just nice and casual, to see if the school was even worth her time. It obviously did decent strength training, but technique was such a big part of it that couldn't be ignored.

She grinned and rubbed her hands together in excitement, she had secretly really wanted this, to spar with this girl. "My names Olivia, and yeah... id be down for that."

She got out from behind the punching bag, and guided Anastasia over to a set up of foam mats, perfect for sparing. "Wanna put on some gear or no? Oh and remember, no powers allowed."

She replied, giving the gear question a nod. It wasn't hard to find a cupboard full of supplies, and she pulled some out, trying them on until she found a set that fit her nicely. "No face shots, I presume? And nothing meant to injure." Simple enough rules that she assumed were more or less universal as she strode back to the mat, shifting into a relaxed fighting stance. She was ready, and more than willing to let the likely younger girl take the first strike.

"Well that makes some things easier yeah. My abilities let me grow diamonds on my skin and bones, but I wont use anything like that. And of course no face shots or anything to aggressive." Olivia figured Ana would use some russian fighting styles and to be honest Olivia didnt know a lot about them, she decided to use Rindoukan karate since she was most comfortable with it and then adjust as she learned her opponent.

She slipped her gear on and got into a stance, choosing a more aggressive one. She made a quick jump in, and did a downward chop at the right side of Anas head, then sent a jab towards her stomach with her other hand.

Diamonds? Anastasia couldn't help but let out a laugh, although she couldn't say why. Delight at the absurdity of it? It was just so bizarre. She hadn't been on the island nearly long enough to think that was just normal.

She let the laughter fade, slipping into her fighting stance. She ducked slightly, arms held out in front of her, and slid to the side of the chop, reaching out to grab at Olivia's wrist. She missed the grab itself, but at least managed to knock the wrist out of her way, keeping it from slamming it into her gut. She lunged herself, trying to grab at the girl's shoulder.

RE: Training [Saryn]

(you know more about fighting stuff than me so if theres any issues just hit me up on skype. Also sorry this is a little short)

Olivia slid away from Anas grab, she quickly turned and tried to strike her back with her elbow. She wasnt sure how shed keep up with Anas grabs, she had to stay on her toes, Sambo fighting was very fast and deadly.

Fighting was all about give and take. If you tried to dodge everything, you'd fail. Sometimes you had to take blows and mitigate them, or sometimes take them entirely in order to get in a hit of your own. She let the elbow strike her, but rolled with it, letting the force of the blow turn her as he hands snapped out, grabbing at Olivia's nearest shoulder. All she needed was one good grab.

Anastasia had always struggled with her competitive nature, and while she'd taken some excellent steps towards keeping it in check, months of frustration came out all at once, her face twisting with anger.

Her right fist was occupied, her grip only barely on Olivia's shoulder, but her left fist was free - and she brought it into Olivia's side far harder than she normally would have in a spar.

She regretted it immediately. Even though there wasn't much wind up, hiding someone in the side like that was bound to hurt, and no doubt bruise badly, and she immediately released her hand, jumping backwards. To say she was mortified by what she'd done was an understatement.

"I'm sorry, I just-" She cut herself off, well aware of just how stupid she sounded, blurting out a terrible apology. There was no reason for it. She'd taken her anger out on a stranger in a heated moment.

RE: Training [Saryn]

Olivia couldnt see the anger in Anastasia's face when she struck her in the side, and it hurt, a lot. When she jumped backwards Olivia fell to the mat, though she caught herself and managed to avoid hitting her head on it.

She picked herself up, careful not to stress her side out to much and looked up at her. "Dont worry about it! You mentioned being a little out of practice since moving here, everybody makes mistakes!" Olivia was not the kind of person to get angry over things like this, she had made the same mistake a few times herself.
