Touring the town

It had been only a few days since Tanau arrived at the island. He was getting settled in at their new school, which was boring, but what did he expect from a school? The people seemed nice enough. He just hadn't gotten the chance to check out the rest of the island. Until now. The downtown area was bustling with people, and the cool, refreshing breeze here made the otherwise hot environment liveable. There was shop upon shop here, akd he couldn't resist having a look in just about all of them. After all, he had some useable money he could use at his leisure.

His first stop, of course, had to be a gaming shop. It was filled with so many different games, many of which he hadn't heard of before. He ended up buying a PC game called Spore, whic seemed interesting enough. Plus it was dirt cheap. His next and most recent stop: the candy store right next to it. The assortment of colours alone was enough to keep him here for a few minutes, staring at each different candy he came across.

"Oh, you like them eh? I got these from a good friend of mine."

While slightly surprised at the sudden break of the (relative) silence, Tanau could already tell he was going to like this guy. Not only for the fact that he liked the shades, or the guy's cheeriness; those wings of his were HELLA fine.

"To return a compliment good sir, you have quite nice wings!" He replied with a smirk on his face, pointing at one of the guy's wings and stretching his arm until his index finger was touching it.

Tanau laughed along with the guy after he commented on his wings. He seemed friendly enough which was something Tanau liked about him. That and their similar tastes. By the looks of things, he was a pretty damn cool guy!

"Hehe, I like you! What's your name, by the way? Mine's Tanau!" Wearing a grin on his face, he held out his hand to Cean for a handshake.

Afterwards he would ask "So what brings you to this fine establishment?" Tanau's grin would not leave his face the whole time.

"Well, it's a pleasure to meet ya, Cean!" The guy had a firm handshake. "Chupas...?" A look of confusion was written on his face. What was this 'Chupas' he was talking about...? Suddenly, it came to him. He was browsing through these solid, spherical candies called 'chupas' earlier! He pointed to the shelves behind Cean.

"There's some Chupas over there! All sorts of interesting colours and such there. I think they had some that said 'watermelon' as well!"

During his short time here, he'd noticed people using all sorts of different abilities and powers. That was also a semi-frequent topic of conversation around these parts.

"I've heard lot of people talk about their powers here, which makes me curious. What are yours, if you have any?" His facial expression was now that of a curious child.

"That's so cool! That must come in handy huh?" He always liked it when he got to ask stuff about people he'd never met before. As soon as he was old enough to handle an interdimensional travel device on his own, he got to travel to all sorts of different places -provided they were in the 'areas' that were deemed safe by the rulers of his home dimension- and meet different people of different species. This was just like another one of those times. Sans the whole 'returning back home' part, of course.

The time had come to demonstrate his own abilities. Admittedly his favourite part of this conversation; although it was a common trait of his species, other species sure seemed to be impressed by it (At least he thought they were).

"Oh, I can shape and warp my body in pretty much any way I like." To demonstrate, he changed his hand into the shape of a sphere, while stretching his other arm and grabbing a cola chupa. "I've really gotta try one of these."
