It was only 8:30 pm and it had already been quite the eventful night. Perhaps not to the same extent of Thursday, when she eavesdropped on a more 'adult' conversation and later got black out drunk off of apple juice, but enough to make skipping her usual studying worthwhile. Her and James left when the party was starting to simmer back down to small talk and staring. Being close in age and somewhat new to the island, they seemed to gravitate towards each other during the party. They had a similar interest in adventuring, which is what they decided to do after leaving the party. Klef wanted to check out the city when it was all lit up, and maybe check out a few of the shops if they were still open.
" Come on soggy butt!" Klef exclaimed, grabbing James by the hand and dragging him towards a nearby potions shop. The glow of her eyes was fainter than usual, almost normal looking, she was letting a smudged map lead the way. " I hear all sorts of weird stuff goes down inside this one potion shop! 'Wonder if they have samples."

He'd made a new friend, or at least that's how it seemed. So here they were, exploring the city at night. The Shadow grumbling and making snide remarks as always.
