Personality Description: Tomas is extremely self-absorbed. He mainly cares about himself, his own comfort, power and money - and not necessarily in that order.
Tomas does not know how to empathize with anyone’s situation, he is almost devoid of compassion or understanding - unless he wants something from you... (Did I mention, he was a good actor?) He also has no loyalty, and rarely trusts anyone, not even his own family. He basically sees those around him as a means to an end. He is also extremely impatient and gets bored very easily.
Despite all this, he can be very open, eloquent and charming - he also loves (acquires) beautiful things and people.
Tomas is also not afraid to die. His only real fear is to be powerless and unimportant.
Powers: Tomas is a necromancer.
His ability is to curse people/objects and control the dead.
His curses are verbal and can only be broken by him, or another necromancer who is willing to break a curse by another necromancer - which usually requires paying a very high price, and is often worse than the original curse itself, or they can be woven into an object. This last one is harder for Tomas to do, but stronger and harder to break. The object must often be destroyed - which may or may not kill the person it was given to. The best way to break a curse from an object is to simply pass it on to a loved one. It cannot be broken if given to a stranger, if that happens the object will magically return to the giver.
Cursing objects requires time and patience, as well as black magic spells that include blood and sacrifice - and the casters own blood. Tomas is extremely adept at creating cursed objects. However, for every cursed object he creates, a day is taken off his life span.
Controlling the dead is somewhat complicated in that it requires the actual presence of a corpse, and the main problem here is that a corpse will start decomposing and eventually wither or rot away. His control of a corpse can be easily broken by setting fire to it or hacking it to pieces.
Tomas can also use binding spells. He can bind a person to an object. For example: a contract for money loaned. If that contract is broken, the person’s will have to do whatever is written into the contract or the penalty - if Tomas was feeling particularly evil or hateful when drawing up the agreement, could be death.
As the spell requires "consent", and since Tomas is sneaky and someone who doesn't play fairly, a simple whispered yes or nod of the head can start the binding spell.

Tomas is from a long line of Spanish dark wizards and necromancers. He was raised by a group of elders and has no idea who his mother was. (His mother was most likely one of the women or virgins that were brought in to be used in dark ceremonies, summonsings or sacrifices.)
When he was born, Tomas was allowed to live thanks to the superstitious nature of the elders. (He was lucky to have been born the day before the darkest night of the year. A extremely good omen that heralded great things - or so he was told.)
Later, he showed an aptitude for the dark arts and an innate sense of cruelty. He was asked to sacrifice another boy his same age to prove himself as a dark wizard which he did without questioning it or any remorse.
He came to Manta Carlos because he heard the Strip was the perfect place to do business. Drunk people often signed things without thinking, and besides, it was the perfect place for a seasoned necromancer to hang out and get his kicks.

Owns several businesses around town. Has recently been quietly acquiring real estate through DB Holdings, the company his sister and him own together. He often does business using his English legal name, Tom Woods.
