So far things have been going great for Kalik. He wasn't having any urgent existential crisis issues anymore so he was now taking the time to just enjoy life and just go after any ambitious ideas he had.
And oh boy did he have a lot of ideas!
Before he does anything too crazy, he needs to start small first.

After some back and forth texts with Kon after their chat in the Grey Raven, he opted to meet with him on the island this time around and they were able to decide a time and a place to meet up at. Sometime in the afternoon at a new boba tea cafe located downtown.

It appeared he was the first to arrive at the cage when it was time to meet up. So he sent a message to Kon to let him know he was at the cafe and then took a seat at one of the tables outside the cafe to wait. Once he was sitting down he crossed his legs and decided to take the time to do some window shopping while he waited so he pulled up a holographic screen from his TUL kit and started scrolling through various marketplaces to look at some spaceships.

There were very few people Konpeitō genuinely enjoyed talking to on the island. He had many friends, friends he enjoyed the company of, but once they began talking, something always plucked at his nerves. Kalik wasn't one of those people. He was a rare bright spot in Kon's life, and Kon had every intention of keeping him shining.

He showed up at the café a few minutes before their planned time. The reason why? He prided himself on being timely and perfect in basically every way, from his wrinkle-free turtleneck sweater to his soft skinny jeans. "I'll be right back!" he told Kalik, "I want to order my a drink first." When he returned to the table, he was right on time.

"I'll have to go back in about twelve or so minutes, so, hit me with whatever ideas you have right now."

Kalik swiped the holographic screen away and relaxed a bit when he saw Kon. "Ah, I just sent you a message. I didn't even notice you. I guess I was too busy looking at my screen than my surroundings." He chuckled and smiled at Kon.

Kalik admired Kon's timeliness. He just now realized out of all the times they have met up, Kon was always just right on time. When Kon returned to the table after ordering his drink, Kalik was thinking about what he should start with.

He had a lot of ideas floating in his head right now, from things like buying an entire moon to opening something small on the space station or the island.
"Hmm. I've been thinking about ways to expand my business and not just the club. At first, I thought about opening up a restaurant or cafe but part of me also wants to open up something that could...."

He paused and tapped a finger on the table as he tried to figure out what exactly he wanted to say. "Supply a service? I'm not too sure. There is a lot of things to think about which also means there is a lot to discuss."

Konpeitō's mind was always moving. He took in information, parsed through it, then categorized it at lightning speed. His time at TWIS and school only made that process more efficient.

"A service? Hmm, my first thought is something like the Wolfsbane Bordello and House of Volkov, but instead of them being separate, they're one establishment. A strip club that offers more intimate services and full meals. I've been researching the station's markets and I think there's room for something like that with your own unique touch. Ah, but you said you want to expand past the club. Maybe you could provide a similar service as to when you were a bounty hunter?"

At that, he covered his mouth. "Heh, let me give you some time to talk, actually."

Kalik just let Kon speak his mind.
Honestly, this is why he asked Kon for help. He knew Kon could come up with some good ideas that he never fully considered. So first things first, he will just tell Kon about his plans for the club.

"Oh. I like the sound of that. I personally never been to The House of Volkov or Wolfsbane Bordello but I have heard of it but I had a different idea for the club....well the expansion of it."

Kalik moved up his arm with the TUL kit on it and then hit a button for a holographic screen to pop up. He then swiped around until a 3D model of a cruise spaceship was on display. He then pinched to fingers together and then pulled them apart to have a hologram of the ship to expand so that Kon can get a better look at it. "This is my end goal. Well close to it. I would prefer my own station but a luxurious cruise ship would suffice. While I could make changes like you just mentioned I think I would rather save them for the cruise ship; to offer a more unique experience."

"You can tap on it and view different sections if you like. I've been modeling some of the rooms and levels a bit in my spare time."

Everything Kalik did, Konpeitō's eyes were locked onto. Why did technology have to be so expensive? If money wasn't always on his mind, he'd have spend everything on upgrading his computers and phones and potentially his own body.

Being able to interact with what Kalik gave him would suffice for now. Honestly, Konpeitō wasn't too sure how to go about interacting with a hologram. He messed around with displays in shops and VR, but this was the real thing. In the end, his impulses led the way, tapping and zooming in on anything that interested him. He went from section to section, memorizing every bit as if he'd need to take the test of his life later.

And once finished, he stood up. "Let me grab my drink, then I'll come back to you with my thoughts." To which there were many.

In his hand was strawberry boba tea when he sat back down. He gave one last slurp of his drink, then rested it on the table. "So, because this is a cruise ship, are you planning on giving people tours of space? It could work like a hotel that shows people the wonders of the galaxy! You might be able to set up stop points to other planets in the Federation."

Kalik let Kon mess around with the hologram with however long he wanted. There were a lot of little details that could be changed and examined after all.
"Alright, fine by me." He said as Kon got up to go get his drink.

When Kon returned, Kalik was scrolling through another ship model he had set up on the hologram. It was a different design but pretty much the same concept.

Yep. It seemed like Kon was right on the mark with the idea without him needing to fully explain anything. "Yeah, that exactly it! I'm aiming to make it the best thing to do for a vacation. Living quarters, dining, entertainment, and possibly shopping. You can have a great time on a ship, we stop at a beautiful planet to tour and then we repeat for however long you plan to stay."

"Plus the experience will never really be the same. There's a lot of planets out there which means I can mix up the tours pretty every time. No tours will be the same; that's the idea at least."
He then swiped at the screen to show a concept map with multiple courses. "We can also just keep trips contained in the galaxy or offer far distance tours. Take people to places they never imagined they would ever see."

Konpeitō blinked a few times, sipping his boba tea in silence until given the chance to speak. During that time, his eyes slid over the screen, struggling to keep up. It was hard to provide proper advice when he knew so little about space.

"I love all of this! Aaa, this sounds so amazing. This is something I'd read in a book." But wasn't he here to give advice, not to stroke Kalik's ego? "You should start small first," he continued, forcing his voice to even out. "I'm worried that you might be throwing too many eggs into your basket. Your plans sound expensive if you want to provide quality services. Stuff like this are typically owned by groups of people."

Kalik smiled and chuckled. He was enjoying Kon's excitement and couldn't help but feel a little excited himself. He had a looooooot of ideas in his head that just sat in there

He took a moment to think on what Kon had said. "You might be right. Hm, I suppose I should start small. I currently not associated by any groups or have any investors."

Now what was starting small meant? He wasn't exactly sure. "I can see about opening more clubs on other stations. Build up a brand name throughout space and hopefully there will be an increase in demand for more clubs. Then I can use-" He cleared his throat and said the next two words as seriously as he could. "-the clout and money to get a ship or something."

"Or, I could host more events. Rent out the club more or find a nicer venue for people to do things at."
Kalik was now just thinking about any idea that was popping into his head.
