Private Finished To Poke An Angel

Rem was too annoyed to even consider Katie at this point.

“Did you even hear what I said? I’m not here by choice. I don’t want to be here. Leaving isn’t an option.”

“Your accusations are false.” He didn’t even fully understand the demon’s words, but he could at least figure out that they were negative.

Sure, he could crawl into a portal and leave the island, but there were implications that Sera could be punished if he did. Not to mention how that would affect his long term future. He’d never be allowed to become a full guardian angel and without his help, the entire force would.

Katie

Katie just looked between Vespa and Rem. This was really, really bad. She was sure that if they just calmed down things would go much easier, but they both looked to be at each others throats. Katie needed to stop this, and now.

"I.. Said.. STOP!" She yelled, way louder then she intended as she forced her way in between Vespa and Rem. "Yes, he can be a jerk, but being a jerk back won't make things better!" Katie said, looking Vespa in the eyes before turning towards Rem. "And maybe if you gave demons a chance rather than just assuming they're bad, you'd see some of them are good people!"

With that, she took several deep breathes before looking between the two. "I..." She trailed off, suddenly finding the ground very interesting. "I need to go." She said in a voice barely above a whisper. And with that she sprinted away as fast as she could. She needed to find somewhere to be alone. Whatever happened between the two, happened.

Rem was already hurt by Katie referring to him as a jerk. Before she even started speaking to him, his face was already beginning to form a pout.

Then she started lecturing him about demons. She clearly knew nothing about them herself, it was infuriating.

When she left, Rem wasn’t even sure what to do. He was just frustrated and annoyed. This demon had come up to him and started something without him ever asking for it and then Katie still saw him as doing wrong in this. He didn’t want to talk with either of them anymore.

With his head stuck up, he headed away, very clearly annoyed. He never even acknowledged what the demon had said, he just walked off. Though it wouldn’t be much longer before he bagan to regret it.
