He sat, leaned against the brick wall, his cheek torn open, cut under his chin clothes torn, abdomen and the back of his knee cut, he was bleeding, gifts were scattered and broken about the alley. The young man's eyes were tired, he looked drained in general, stress of the recent events had taken its toll and perhaps the attack was the tipping point.

It'd been Christmas, he'd run by the school to pick some up some gifts he had hidden there, took his usual route home. Pretty much everyone knew now, even if he wasn't super vocal about it all, it was his life now. The rumors continued, even though the bullying had lessened. Perhaps he was hoping things would improve, that life would go back to normal, or at least some semblance of normal, unfortunately the world rarely worked like that.

Flying with the number of bags he had was awkward, he could lift it all easily enough, but he decided to walk. He used his usual route, one he knew like the back of his hand, he used almost daily when in the city, it was something that didn't seem to change. They stepped out from around a corner, then it all happened so fast, he felt felt a blow to the face, the burn of silver under his chin and along his abdomen. Then Aaron's claws came out, one of the attackers screamed his hand going to his face, and thenow they were all gone, ran, fled, didn't expect the half-demon to defend himself.

Aaron slid down the brick wall, sitting against it in silence. His healing factor would take a bit of time to.come back with all the silver used. Taking a breath, he took his phone out, called the cops, he sounded calm, but broken, and maybe he was. Maybe he was nothing more than shattered pieces.
