Time to relax

"I guess you right. I'll try to keep up a positive attitude." She could try, but she didn't think it would work.

"Besides, I probably won't get bored or anything. I don't bore that easily...unless I'm alone. But if there are people around me having fun, it'll most likely rub off on me even if I'm not doing anything." she thought back to her comment, and wondered if that even made sense. She was feeling so drained from the afternoon's events, she found herself not caring, which was something totally unlike her. If there was one thing that mattered to her most, it was what other people thought of her. Not anymore, she thought to herself.

"I guess not," said Aiva, "and your lucky you never have to be alone." Aiva wished that were the case with her. Althought she did enjoy spending time alone, there were times where she hated being by herself.

"Don't get me wrong though - Sometimes, I think it's nice to spend time alone. Just not all the time.."

Aiva sat in silence for a few minutes. Her eyelids were starting to feel heavy. She looked around the room to see if there was a clock anywhere. She found one in the far corner. It read 8:09. It was so early, she wished she didn't feel so tired.

"I'm so sorry I am so tired," she said with a yawn, "I guess it must be all the excitement of today." She laighed. "It certainly was a day to remember."

"Thanks," aiva said, putting the pillow behind her head. She snuggled up in the blanket, and closed her eyes. She loved having people fuss and care about her. It was something she never had before with her family. Her parents were always so busy, even when she was really young.

It wasn't long before Aiva was fast asleep.

Aiva woke up with a start. She had a dream she was back home. She turned to Enelya, who had also fallen asleep. There weren't many people in the lounge. Aiva sat there in silence, thinking about her dream. She dreamt she was with her family, and her power was so out of control. She was freaking out because no one could see her, and her mother was hysterical, wondering if she'd ever see her daughter again. Well, she won't see me anymore anyway, now that I'm here. she thought to herself.

She reached in her purse and pulled out her compact mirror. She wanted to make sure her hair wasn't all over the place. She was dismayed to see she had crease lines on her face from the pillow. There wasn't anything she could do about that. She fixed her ponytail, applied some fresh lipgloss, and closed the compact.

She got up and walked over to the water cooler, grabbed a paper cup and filled it to the top with fresh cool water. She returned to the couch and drank her water thirstly.
