Time to Master Fire...

Myth slowly pushed himself to the limit, watching as the land beneath flew by, well the land wasn't flying he was. In the distance loomed his destination, the mountains. Myth had decided to finally gain control over the flames he made, and to avoid burning down the school and grounds he decided to travel to the mountains, less things to burn.

Finally Myth found a suitable location, and retracting his wings turned it into a training ground. Targets were painted, obstacles made. and other such things.

Stepping back to his starting range, Myth spread out his arms and called upon the fire. After it had gathered into two balls in his palms, he began to practice. Slowly but surely the blasts grew closer to his intended target. After he felt his aim had improved enough at this range he moved backward, and started over repeating the process until the cliff was to his back and the targets were nearly 20 yards away. Now that his stationary aim was good he returned to the begining postiistion and began to do it while moving, first a walk, then a jog and eventually a run. Finally he had mastered all them at the extreme range. Now what to do other than try it while flying.

((sry, I was gone on a 5 day skiing trip ;) )

"What's this?" Moonlight walked out from behind... something. "Are you playing with fire? That can be dangerous you know." She saw him running and hitting his targets. "Maybe try hitting them while THEY are moving, instead of just being still. It's much harder that way." Moonlight tested her own aim with throwing metal spears. She reached into a small pouch on her belt, and drew out three small balls of metal, no bigger than marbles. She threw all of them into the air, and they began changeing, strecthing and growing, until they became sharp enough to act as a weapon. They floated down next to her, and stayed at her head level. One by one, she fired them. They became impaled onto the targets.
"Why don't you want to try while flying?" Moonlight hopped onto Sparky, who had unearthed himself from the ground. She prepared for takeoff, she was going to try while flying.

"Hello Moonlight, and yes I know fire is dangerous. Why do you think I came out here, to the mountains, ALONE."

Myth pulled off his shirt, and threw it on a nearby boulder, and let his wings sprout forth. Then as he flew above the mountain, he drew upon his fire and began to launch a barrage against the targets, while flying backwards and forwards. He hit as often as he missed, and by the time he landed, sweat drenched and exhausted, the targets had been reduced to molten slag.

Panting for breath, from his exertions, Myth retracted his wings and collapsed onto the warm, soft, sundrenched grass...which was far enough away not to have been threatened by his training, and upwind of the target area, so that you could not smell the fumes.

"Oh, fine. Just destroy the targets before I get to try... again." Seeing Myth control fire like that, it worried Moonlight. She thought of her twin sister, Sunlight. She wonderd if she was okay. By okay, she meant still alive. Moonlight had seen in papers stories of her sister killing people one-by-one, the numbers of innocent people climbed off the charts, and out of everybodies minds. "Do you think you are strong?" she asked, jumping down off of Sparky. "I mean, do you think your powers over fire are... good?" She wanted to compare Myth to Sunlight.

Myth lifted his head off the ground, to look at Moonlight.

"That depends on what you consider strong, as you can see my accuracy has greatly approved, and the intensity of my flames can melt bouldars. I can also use the fire to create a sorta shield around me, and manipulate it at will. Other than practicing against moving targets, then yes I feel that I have mastered my power, for combat use, and have been using it safely for non-combative use for years now. I also have the added benifit of being able to fly, but as you can see, a couple hours of intense training can leave me drained, so I need to practice on moving targets, and my stanima at maintaining it. As for targets, their are enough boulders around to make more, but I could use a breather. Hm, should I push myself, and work on building up stanima the dangerous way, or take a break and watch you train. I think I'll go with the second."

"You wouldn't even match her..." Moonlight unhappily muttered to herself. Continuing her question, she asked. "Have you thought of anyways to make your fire attacks even stronger than they already are? I mean, not by brute force but maybe by using whats around you?" She knew that Sunlight used science to her advantage, as she normally chose to fight in an area that would help her in anyway. She heared a voice in her head. "Why do you compare me?" followed by a serious headache. Metal targets raised out of the ground and stood tall. It was a good thing you could find iron ore in this mountain.

"Match who, and isn't turning a boulder that big into a pile of lava good enough for you, with my manipulation I can increase the intensity of the heat, and direct where that heat goes, also depending on my environment I can use it to my advantage, it doesn't work in water, say I was swimming in the lake, but dry grass, wood, other flammables, yes I could use them to make it stronger, as would certain flammable chemicals, and gases. I could also turn rock into lava, and if I did find myself fighting near a body of water, I could evaporate it, releasing more oxygen and hydrogen into the air, which will also burn. Why, who is this other, are you worried about a fight or something, don't worry to much if needed I could probably turn this mountain into a volcanoe, of course the effort might kill me. So, are you going to train a bit, talk of such serious matters with me, or join me in relaxing in the sun."

"My sister, Sunlight. It just worries me that she is out in the world alone, with such great power. I am worried to open a newspaper, for I might find another story about her..." Moonlight sat down on the ground, Sparky curled up around her. "She is lethal enough when facing her head on, but she is almost impossible to actually defeat her when she is in her terriotory. She uses every trick she can possibly think of. Anything to put up a wall of fire between her, and her enemy. She can also even light parts of her body a flame." She looked off at the sky. "If you ever find her in a place where you think she does not have an advantage, be careful. She most likely still does."

"She sounds powerful and evil, but don't count me out of a fight if one happens"

Myth was slightly worried though, a killer, uses fire, and Moonlight's sister.
