After one last shovelful of snow Fehr leaned on her shovel and exhaled. She was done clearing out the snow from the path on her front yard. But yet it still came down, in 6 hours or so Fehr would have to do this again. She sighed and stretched her back, her physical strength was still the same but her stamina got sapped faster the further her pregnancy progressed. At the end of this year Fehr would he halfway through with the pregnancy. Still 6 months to go...

Fehr made the shovel vanish, she had made it with her powers, and walked back inside. Her cheeks were shining silver from the cold. Inside Fehr already had water boiling for when Masami would arrive, and her best tea. Or the most expensive organic tea she had found, Fehr wasn't the best at judging the quality of things. But she had tasted it before and the tea had tasted good enough.
Fehr took off her jacket and tied her hair back on a long ponytail, her greenhouse project was by the window in her living room. It was a miniature greenhouse, meant to be set on a window sill. Fehr had attempted to build the frame from small, slim planks and had succeeded well enough. Fehr was used to building with larger planks, this kind of detailed work wasn't her cup of tea.
In this situation that saying was almost too suitable.

Fehr went into the kitchen to prepare the tea, she didn't prepare any food for now since Masami might not like any of the organic, very healthy snacks snacks Fehr had available. It was the only kind she could eat, after all.

Masami was not doing as well in the cold as he would have liked. He knew what he needed to do to feel better, to loosen his joints up again. But fighting and drawing blood were not the things he wanted to do; not anymore. So he dealt with it. Winter would end sooner or later and his joints would stop creaking. Until then he just had to hobble along and deal with it.

Approaching Fehralyn's house, he was a bit shocked to see how nice it looked. Not that he should have been. She was a teacher and she seemed very well put together. He liked that. Bundling his thrift shop coat around himself tighter, he hoisted the bag containing his tea plants. He had carefully wrapped each one so they wouldn't jostle on the trip over or get too cold.

Blowing on his hands to fight off the cold seeping into his knuckles, he rapped loudly on the door. Not too loudly, he hoped. He hadn't had to knock anywhere in a long time.

Fehralyn could hear Masami's footsteps before he arrived on her doorstep, and she left the tea to brew and walked to the door. Fehr was wearing a red knitted sweater, black jeans and warm woolly socks.
Fehr opened the door just as Masami would've knocked, she didn't bother waiting for his knock since she already knew he was here. Fehr had a small smile on her face and she nodded at Masami.

"Welcome. It seems you found this place well, it's slightly secluded so I was concerned."
Fehr stepped aside so Masami could get inside, when you stepped in from the door the first thing you could see was the living room and two windows, that covered the whole back wall and let out to the backyard and the forest beyond that. Fehralyn had a fire burning in the small open fireplace, so the house was nice and warm.
"Please take off your shoes, and your coat goes over there."
Fehr directed, and closed the door. There were hooks for jackets next to the door, and a rack for shoes below those. Both were scarce, since Fehr only owned one jacket and two pairs of shoes.

"I'm good at following directions," Masami said with a small smile at Fehralyn'' concern he had gotten lost. He stepped in and did as he was asked. Though he would have anyway; removing one's shoes and coat was normal for him.

"You look comfy," he remarked casually as he likes oked around her home. It was undeniably nicer than his own. Not that he was surprised in the least. "So. Tea first, or should we set up the plants in the greenhouse?" He pulled his bag off of his shoulder and set it down gently. The plants were wrapped very carefully in blankets and cardboard to keep them from getting cold on the trip over.

"And I feel comfy as well. I've developed a kind of addiction towards soft clothing recently."
Fehralyn said back at Masami's remark, smiling slightly. She had theorized her need for softness and comfort came from the fact, that after every week she felt slightly more uncomfortable. It was nothing serious, and Fehr saw a doctor regularly, but soft clothes offered some comfort from the fact that Fehr's back was killing her.
And it seemed the softness of the clothes was infecting her as well.

Yes, the greenhouse Fehr hadn't completed yet. Putting tea plants in it could prove to be quite hard. Well, the frame only needed to be wrapped in gauze and it was finished. Fehralyn had right sized pieces cut and ready next to the project.
"Let's start with the tea. I still need to add the last touch to the greenhouse and it's ready for the plants."
Fehr picked up the bag with the tea plants and set it on her sofa table in the living room, by the window where her greenhouse was as well.
"It's my first time constructing such a small building, so look through the possible crudeness of it. Would you prefer green tea or some other kind?"
Fehr said with a slightly amused tone, and asked the question as she went to the kitchen, that was right by the living room. She had set out two tea cups, both were quite standard white cups, but the small teapot Fehr was brewing the tea in was Japanese style. Fehr herself wasn't aware of that fact, she had merely enjoyed the design and bought it.
