"I've seen it kill a human before." Her answer was purposefully short. She was neither lying nor telling the full truth. If Levina was going to be baited into drinking it would have to be on her own belief that she could do it not Lucretia telling her it is safe or otherwise. As a point of order she followed up her answer with a long chug of the drink until the glass was empty and she was sufficiently satisfied with drinking.

"Now I can properly start my night." She was really playing this up in her mind. Seeing Levina fall over blackout drunk before she left would be amazing given she stated she was human. The bar usually was good about keeping clients safe and getting them a ride home or to the police if their intoxication reached a sour conclusion.

Leaning back into the table the bartender came by with her bill and her gently and placed her debit card on the table for it to be charged. She checked her watch one last time noticing that the hour of her meeting was approaching. With a brisk pace, she could make it, with a slight jog she may be able to catch Levina going lights out and still make it. Gambling was her life so she nothing wrong with these odds as she watched to see what they would do.

Levina's internal debate was strong. The answer made it seem like it had the capability to kill her, but not because the contents were specifically lethal. At least, that's how she interpreted it.

"Well if this goes poorly you better take care of me."

Levina of course didn't expect Lucretia to actually take care of her. It was more an expression confirming that she was going to give it a shot. As the bartender came over with Lucretia's bill, Levina pointed to the now empty mug and put a charming smile on her face.

"I'd like to try what she just had."

Her voice was almost playful. Like a college student not sure what they were getting into when they were finally able to drink for the first time. But this was far from Levina's first time.

"I'll make sure you dont wake up in a gutter at the very least." Lucretia rested her head on her hands as she watched the bartender prepare Levina's drink. She was so enthralled in what might happen she didn't even acknowledge her debit card being placed back in front of her. " You should try to drink as much as you can in one breath. It improves the experience in my opinion."

Lucretia eyes followed the shifting and glowing green and yellow liquid until it was sitting in front of Levina as menacing as a drink could possibly be for someone whose experience with drinking was rather....human. Patiently waiting for Levina to drink she decided one more nudge wouldn't hurt and said " I sure do hope your partner doesn't mind picking you up from a cheap hotel."

Levina watched the drink come over and took it in. Lucretia mentioned taking as much of it in one swig as she could. Levina knew she was just egging her on. But it was working.

"As much in one go huh?"

Levina's eyes narrowed and cut over to Lucretia. The comment had obviously gotten to her. She couldn't even think about what would happen if Mr. Sandoval had to show up to pickup his personal assistant from some random hotel.

"I don't have a partner."

With that she firmly grabbed the mug and tore her eyes off Lucretia as she brought the mug to her lips and began to chug it. The liquid filled her mouth and burned her throat. She continued till about half the mug was gone before setting it down.

Problem with being smaller, it was hard to chug much. Regardless, Levina took a moment to let the burn subside before she cleared her throat trying to find her voice. It clearly pained her to talk but she couldn't give in.

"That.... tastes terrible."

Lucretia's eyes widened as she saw Levina down the drink with enthusiasm. When the mug finally came down and the girl was struggling to regain her composure Lucretia couldn't help but give some paltry claps to her. "I can't imagine you'd enjoy it considering it's your first time drinking it, but I applaud your effort nonetheless." She was genuinely surprised and partly disappointed, that Levina had taken the drink so well.

"You should surely finish it though. I have a deep curiosity if you'll pass out or not. Be a big girl and bare with the taste." If Levina could survive drinking a large mug of this stuff it would at least confirm one thing to her, she wasn't all sparks.

Levina blinked a few times as she mentally prepared herself to finish the mug. She had to let the burning go down a little more before continuing otherwise she might just choke on the liquid.

"Anything you have to acquire a taste for isnt anything to enjoy. Now if this would get me drunk we'd be in business, but all it has done is leave a terrible taste in my mouth and made my throat feel like i swallowed coals."

With that, Levina closed her electric blue eyes and tilted the mug back, once more chugging the drink if only because of the egging on Lucretia had done. When the drink was gone and the mug was empty, she slammed it back down on the bartop in a similar fashion to what Lucretia had done.

The pause was there again as she strained to find her voice through the burning. Even the air passing over her vocal chords felt like it was on fire.

"Terrible....happy....Ms. Vexen?"

The words strained at first eventually evened out to reveal the arrogant and teasing tone she had been trying to Gerry out at first.

"No, I am somewhat disappointed but I can respect the fact that your body didn't give way." Lucretia picked up her card and returned it to her wallet. It was a fun experiment at the very least she was sure she could sucker some other semi inebriated fool into drinking some. "On the bright side, it seems the drink did fix your speech problems you said Ms.Vexen nearly flawless." She gave a coy smile as she stood up from her chair.

"Keep it up and I'm sure whoever your partner is will take notice of your progress." Lucretia gave her arms long stretch before they found their way into her pockets. Did she hear that Levina didn't have a partner? Definitely. Did she find teasing her on it far funnier? Most definitely.

The burning sensation slowly disappeared and her throat felt closer to normal, though it maintained a certain scratchiness to it. She assumed that was because of the drink and even that in time would return to normal. Levina looked up to Lucretia as she stood up with the same scowl that had continued to show itself.

"Whatever your preconceived notion about my intelligence and ability to pronounce things was, I can assure, completely wrong. It's part of my job."

Levina's snark was indeed back even through the scratchiness. She shook her head as Lucretia mentioned her partner would take notice if she kept it up.

"One, again, I don't have a partner. Two, even if I did, he wouldn't be impressed with drinking."

" He wouldn't be impressed with drinking huh. Sounds to me like you already have a man in mind." There was a slight teasing in her voice. " My advice is to either pursue it now or let the feelings die. The longer you keep that fantasy in your head is the longer you'll keep of unnecessary stress." She wasn't speaking from experience really. The few people she had cared for in that way never took up much space in her mind besides the one she had married. Regardless she had seen enough of the shit for several human lifetimes.

"At the very least do yourself a favor and use that intelligence and pronunciation skills of yours to tip your bartender kindly I'm sure they'd appreciate it. I have a meeting to get to with my boss so I don't have much more time to deal with you and your......personality I'll say." Lucretia nodded and smiled at her bartender who was now wiping up the spot she was sitting at.

The words rung through the air but fell on deaf ears with Levina. There was no way she was going to let the feelings die. He was the one she wanted to and would be with, even if it took lifetimes. But that wasn't for anyone but her to know.

A smile came to Levina's face when Lucretia mentioned tipping the bar staff. Levina had already decided to do so, and usually took care of those that took care of her. She may have felt that she deserved it, but she also understood what building good rapport could do.

"Oh trust I'll take care of him."

A teasing and playful wink came out to the bartender before she looked back to Lucretia, the playful smile lingering on her face, but now directed at her now departing drinking partner.

"I am a handful aren't I? Can't say I'm not entertaining though. Hopefully see you around Ms. Vexen."
