@"Fletcher" (OOC: Sorry I might have missed our rapid-fire window for today, I got pulled away to run errands, but I still thought I'd go ahead and put this up.)

Live liked alcohol. But she didn't like drinking alone. However, she had yet to find any friends on the island to get drunk with. Thankfully though, she had a fake I.D. that coined her at 22. Without any makeup she didn't quite fit the look but when she got a little done up, Live could easily pass as an adult.

And what was even better, was this place you only had to be 18 to drink. Which meant that it would take even less for Live to look legal. In fact, she might not even need to pull out her fake.

She put on some makeup, nice black clothes, her inverted pentagram necklace and her "bitch die" rings. She shadow traveled herself to the city and found the first bar.

She walked in and headed for bar. She liked ambiance of this place. She sat down, placed her elbows on the bar, and leaned forward with her chin resting on her hands.

"Excuse me. What do you have on tap?" Maybe the girl was only 16 but she loved beer. Good bar beers that is. Not that cheep shit like Bud Light. IPAs and stuff was more up her ally.

Live chuckled as the man slid her a Shirley Temple. Sure, she loved herself a Shirley Temple. Great drink. But it wasn't exactly what she was going for that night.

She let out a sigh and pulled back a bit, grabbing the drink. She didn't really want it but she also didn't want to cause issues. She was underage after all and didn't need to be bringing extra attention to herself.

"Any chance you could at least add some vodka to this?" She said as she swirled the drink around the glass a bit.

Well if that didn't near knock the poor girl's socks off. When the man said "under one condition" she thought she was about to have to file a sexual harassment case, or just go all shadow walker on his ass.

However, it turned out that what the man wanted was a story. But not just any story, Live's story.

"I... uh." Words stuck in her throat and she looked around, confused as hell, wondering if there was some sort of running joke at this place. "Are you serious?" She asked, seriously baffled by the man's request, "No one want's to hear my story.." She said, her voice returning to it's usual monotone emotionless level.

Live could tell the guy wasn't joking around and she gave a sigh. More than anything she also just didn't want to stir up trouble or just start her night off with bad vibes because she wouldn't tell a story.

"Alright alright. Story it is then..." She took a swallow from her Shirley Temple and smiled a bit. At least she knew the guy made good drinks now.

"Well, I don't really know how to start my story..." She gave a small shrug and looked up to the man, her eyes connecting with his, "I have never had to tell anyone my story before so forgive me if my memory is a bit hazy. It's not a thing I spend much time remembering." Her look was honest, though her tone was dry and sounded disconnected from the words.

Her eyes tore away from his though and she took another swallow of her drink and then gave another shrug, her eyes locked on her glass. "I don't really have much of a story honestly... I'm just a Shadow Walker from Georgia. The only one in that area as far as I could tell. I honestly had no idea that the supernatural world was so expansive until I came here this past summer. I kinda thought I was completely alone in the world..." Her eyes drifted off a bit but suddenly shot back to her glass and she took a drink as if it actually did have the vodka in it. "But turns out I was wrong so now here I am!" Another big swallow and her glass was almost empty.

She watched the man pour some vodka and she couldn't help but smirk a bit. But she quickly changed the look on her face when he looked back at her. Clearly the Shadow Walker story was gonna be the way to go.

"It's a thing... I guess. I mean, I kind of picked the name because..." Live gave a heavy sigh, well the man was definitely about to get a story now because this was actually a topic Live secretly enjoyed talking about; especially since arriving on the island where the supernatural was everywhere.

"I discovered my abilities when I was ten years old due to emotionally triggering circumstances and...well, I honestly don't know what. Basically, I control can manipulate darkness, or really better put, the absences of light. I know, real dark shit right?" It was a terrible pun and the humor was dry coming out of Live's monotone voice, "I didn't know anything about what I was until maybe two years ago. I had been researching about what I could do since I discovered my abilities but there was so much random shit out there about "shadow manipulators" and shit that I just couldn't find anything actually useful. It was impossible to narrow down anything. But then, over time my abilities began to expand. I began to see things. Things other people couldn't."

She gave a shrug and took another sip from her drink. She paused for a second, "So I started researching and came across these people known as Walkers. They were often spiritual leaders of villages and such and they served one purpose; to be a connection to the spirit world. However, it wasn't a job someone chose. They were born into it. Someone is born a Walker by having a specific spirit pass through their soul before it fully enters and settles in the body during birth. Another Walker would summon the desired spirit and then the spirit, hopefully under good will, would pass through the child's soul." Live paused for a moment and smirked, chuckling a bit.

"Of course, there is always and exception to the rule and that's me! No Walker summoned the spirit that passed through my soul. It just happened. Which can happen. Seems to be a few recorded cases of it though I only found out about those since arriving here. Let's just say the bible belt doesn't have a bunch of libraries and books on humans with half demon souls."

She took another gulp from her drink, finishing it.

Saying Live's story was interesting was definitely an understatement. However, she suppose on this island that so many people had "interesting" stories that in the end everything was just interesting.

She smiled as he poured her a shot and quickly threw it back. It was a pleasant taste to Live. Some people hated alcohol, to Live the only thing that beat it was water.

Live chuckled with the man, "Oh don't worry. I have no intention of creating anymore creatures like me. Besides, the summoning must occur during labor and there are many specific environmental conditions that must be reached in order for a new Walker to be created."

"Not that I'd care if you cared. Apparently according to Walker histories, the choice of who will be the next Walker is left completely up to the previous Walker." She gave a smirk and leaned forward a bit, "I would even get to choose the spirit that enters them."

The words were unexpected and slightly confusing to Live. She was silent for a moment, her mind trying to decipher the man. Finally, giving up and growing defensive (of course she always assumed the worst), Live crossed her arms and huffed a bit. "What the hell is that suppose to mean?"

She couldn't give a damn what this man thought or "cared" about. He was some strange bar tender, why should his opinion about Live matter at all? Well, to Live it didn't but a part of her felt she was about to learn why maybe she should have cared...

Now Live was really confused. She had a feeling she knew what "some people upstairs" meant and she didn't like it. Not that she didn't like them but she just had a feeling that they wouldn't like her. She was part demon after all.

"What? Like send my soul to jail for a while?" Was that a thing? If so she didn't want to find out.

"Look, I have no intention of creating another Walker. If I did, I'd have to mentor it and shit and I'm really not about tag alongs." Live crossed her arms and gave a small huff. She could feel her buzz kicking in a bit, adding to her already pretty snappy response.

A better place than jail? Better in what respect and better for who? Because Live had a feeling it probably wasn't better for her sake. Part of her wanted to question further but she also figured it would be best to just let this one go by the way side.

"Yeah, another shot or two would be great!" Live said leaning forward and smirking at the man. She couldn't leave till she had a decent buzz going.
