Mimosa waited paitently in the empty room. She's sent a note to Ross to meet her here. She'd tried not to make the note seem more hopeful than it should be, for fear of breaking his heart even more.
Ross rushed into the room, and closed the door tightly behind him. He walked over to her, so close he could see the reflection of the lights in her eyes.
"Ross...there's something I really need to talk to you about."
He took her hands. "Yes?" he asked hopefully.
She couldn't bare to look at him. "I thought about it again...and i guess...I realluy do like you-" his heart lifted considerably "-but...." she sighed. "There's a rumor going around that Judas is back. My real boyfriend. And somehow, I know they're true."
His facve fell, but he still clutched her hands. "Well...tell him you've met someone else. Tell him you love me more."
She withdrew her hands from his. "That's what I needed to tell you. I don't love you more than him. Judas is the one I've been wanting, and I think you realize that."
He took a step back, and was silent. His fears were coming true.
She stood up, and walked towards the door. She paused and turned back though. "I want to be friends. You're a good guy, Ross. You're just not..."
She couldn't finish her sentence and instead walked out the door.
