Brielle carefully balanced the saucer and china teacup in one hand, and a plate of scones in the other as she made her way up the stairs. She'd had tea at four in the afternoon everyday growing up, and she wasn't about to give it up just because she'd moved here. She set her food down on a small table next to the window and glanced at the empty bed on one side of the room.
She'd been told that she was going to have a new roommate, and she wasn't sure if she was excited about that or not. She'd liked having her own room, but she'd felt a little selfish because not everyone got their own room and it didn't seem fair that she did. She curled up in the chair and tore off a bit of scone, popping it in her mouth and wondering when her roomie would show up, if ever.
