Trevor said his favorite words (Testing testing 1,2,3) quietly as he walked along the beach. It was such a beautiful day and the arm was warm and crisp. The waves against the sand made a very calming noise. Trevor had brought a small cushion to sit on so he wouldn't have to sit on the sand., He had also brought a backpack with a little bit of food, just in case he got hungry.

"What a beautiful day it is today. " he stammered, not knowing exactly what to say. Most people would think that him talking to himself would be weird, but he was so used to it. It was what he had to do to see, so it didn't even phase him.

Tania hummed a tune to herself as she walked to the sea. She hadn't been planning on going there, but the water was shiny, and she tended to get distracted by shiny things. She slipped off her shoes and waded in, careful not to splash water on her pink shirt and short white skirt.

A few minutes later she noticed a boy sitting there. She walked over to him and sat down. "Hello!" She said softly.

He turned, not seeing her yet. "Hello. " he replied, actually able to see her now. She was sitting besides him. She appeared to be a fairy. He smiled at her, grateful he wasn't the only person who would get to enjoy this great day.

"I'm Trevor. Or Trev. Whichever you prefer. " he said in his normal happy voice. He notices teh sparkle to her and her fairy wings. She seemed like a character from a fantasy book, which he thought was cool.

Tania smiled. "Nice to meet you, Trevor." She liked the sound of the longer version better. "Tania, or Tania, if you prefer." She said, her eyes twinkling.

She studied him silently for a moment, waiting for him to reply.

"A pleasure to meet you Tania. " he said. He watched her for a moment, before continuing. "Isn't it a great day to hang out at the beach? " he asked. He realized that maybe that question was a little weird for a guy to ask, but he asked it anyway. he was just speaking his mind.

Tania didn't think it was weird. But she wasn't exactly an expert on humans acted. Especially boys. "Yes, it's a beautiful day. Have you got in the water yet?" She asked.

"No, not yet. You see, I would be a little afraid to get in the water. I'd have to keep talking. " he said, trailing off at the end. He was a little confused at that point about himself. Although he was considered blind, he could still see in color and could still see, but he had to keep talking. If he was silent for too long, he wouldnt be able to see at all.

Tania looked at him oddly for a moment, totally confused by his words. "Well, I don't mind. I'd talk to you..." She said, though she was still confused.

He smiled at her offer, then sighed. He decided he would tell her why he had to keep talking.

"Okay. So the reason I need to keep talking is because I cannot see otherwise. I am "blind" but not blind because when I talk I get the waves back and they form my sight, which is in color by the way. Thats why I would be worried to go in the water because teh water always moves and if I stop talking, well, bad things could hapen. " he said quickly. He watched her for any signs of fright or anything due to his sudden outburst or the fact he was blind.

Tania listened intently. "Oh! That's very interesting. I've never met a blind person before, but my aunt was old and almost blind." She explained, but stopped herself before she could start rambling. "I'll stay with you in the water. If you want to, of course." She offered.
