"Okay, well, uh..." Kaydence sat down. He hit a note. "This is middle C." He said, not exactly sure how much she knew. He hit the next note up. "This is D." He hit the next one. "E." He did that all the way up through B. "Then you start at C again."

Becky looked at him and shrugged. "I guess..." She tried to follow but it didn't quite come out so good. "Well, that was pretty bad." Becky gave an uncomfortable smile and back from the piano. "You ah do anything else besides piano?" She asked curiously.

"Nah, it was good for the first time." Kaydence said in a lazy tone. He wasn't sure if she meant musically or just anything else so he said, "Nope. Not really. You?"

"Nah. Not really. I try to sing sometimes...that doesn't always work." Becky's usual smile spread over her face which was slightly flushed from embaressment. "I write a little...not much." She stood. "Hey, thanks for showin' me that..you'll hafta show me some more later. Don't wanna take up much of your time." Becky stood there akwardly, unsure of what she should say.

"I have too much free time." Kaydence told her quickly. Why do I keep doing that? It's not like I need friends or anything. He thought with an very small, inaudible sigh.

Becky looked at him, somewhat surprised. She'd thought he had shown her that little bit simply out of politeness. "Oh-" She shrugged. Not many people were this willing to maybe see her again. "-then I guess we could meet up here again? or...something.." She dropped her gaze, feeling dumb again.

"Yeah, sure. Whenever's fine." Kaydence replied with a half smile. He actually hadn't done it to be nice. Kaydence never did anything just to be nice.

Becky looked into his eyes and quickly looked away. Something didn't settle just right...

"Fine." She shot him a nervous smile and began inching for the door.
