Appearance description:

Faceclaim: Fionn Whitehead
In his human form, Theo looked largely like a normal human being for his physical age, which is 18. He stands at 6’ square, with hands that look too big for his wrists and an awkwardly rail-thin frame. He is not unfit by any means yet he is not an athlete. He does not have much strength. Instead, he is more of a long-distance runner, hiker, and kayaker thank anything else.
Theo has coarse, dark hair, more ashen grey than brown, always a bit messy, and a kind face with little distinctive features. He is arguably good-looking, with a smattering of freckles, but most say his face is a little too angular and bony to be handsome. His eyes were the most obvious features in his face. Instead of being an average colour, they are blue around the irises, fanning out into yellow and then a deeper reddish-orange. Exactly the same as fire.
Theo is clean-shaven and well-groomed at all times, although occasionally he may be rumpled due to lack of sleep. He isn’t obsessed with his appearance, but he does try to make a good impression. Now that he officially has a job as a lawyer, he dresses the part, in neat, store-bought suits with button ups and ties. None of his clothes were very high-end, but they were well fitting enough to look good. Casually, he generally goes for a button-up and chinos. He doesn’t seem to sense heat or cold and . He always wears a little cross on a chain around his neck, tucked underneath his shirt. The cross is framed by a welting red burn mark.
Personality description:
- Just ...nice
- Friendly and welcoming
- Warm
- Open, easy to start a conversation with
- Empathetic
- Believes in good
- Not blindly idealistic
- Cagey about past
- Self-sufficient, independent
- Doesn't like to talk about himself
- Doesn't trust easily
- Insecure
- Keeps a distance between himself and others
- Doesn't express opinions
Theo is a warm person. He does not shy away from people and is often the first to greet someone who comes into the room. All he wants to do is to make people feel welcome. Although he is not extremely social, he is friendly and open, and often starts conversations when he is trying to make a good impression. He is quite empathetic and knows when others are feeling uncomfortable, always striving to avoid it.
Theo tries to be good. He really does. He puts others ahead of himself and he cares about them with all his heart. However, he isn't blindly good. He can also use logic to gauge a situation, and if the most logical solution does not involve being nice or good but helps people, he will do that.
Theo is a firm believer that humans are initially good, that all awful people are simply misguided and just need to be put on the right track again. Despite this, he is not completely trusting and doesn't trust easily.
However, despite his warm, bright exterior, you can find him looking sad when he thinks nobody could see him. He talks, but he does not reveal much of his self in the conversations, instead choosing to focus on the others. He keeps a subtle distance between himself and others. He barely ever expresses much opinion on subjects more serious than his favourite soft drink, and when forced to take a side he smiles and changes the subject. This is because of his insecurity on being demonic, and the knowledge that people would push him away if they knew what he really was, stemming from childhood memories.

Species ability:
STRENGTHS:
Immortality:
Theo has stopped aging once he reached 20. He can be killed with conventional means, but he cannot die from physical ailments or old age and his body will never deteriorate.
Fire resistance:
Theo is unnaturally resistant to heat and fire. A fire will not injure him on contact, instead taking 5-10 minutes for it to start hurting him depending on the heat of the flame. This also applies to hot items and liquids. However, an explosion will still severely maim or kill him.
WEAKNESSES:
Put simply: Crufices, salt, churches, and holy water
A cross or a holy object/symbol from any religion will burn his skin on contact. It has to be an actual cross and not something off a screen. Over the years, by wearing his cross, he had developed a slight immunity to it, but pressing a cross over his skin for over 30 seconds will begin to burn, much like touching a hot object to it.
Encircling him in salt means that he could not exit. He also loses the majority of his blood magic if he is trapped in a circle of salt. He also cannot enter circles of salt or areas surrounded by salt. If the circle Is broken he could enter as he wishes. However, he can ingest salt like a normal human being. Saline solution will not harm him and neither would salt on his skin.
Holy water is another one of his weaknesses.
The effect it has on him is very similar to the effect burning oil has on most people. His skin will immediately sizzle and burn on contact. Being doused in holy water can prove to be fatal.
Theo can enter a church/chapel/Christian religious site, but it will be uncomfortable for him. 10 minutes is fine. Any longer and he will suffer headaches and severe nausea, worsening the more time he spends in the holy place. Being trapped in a church for a long amount of time can cause unconsciousness and in some cases even death. Religious sites of other religions does not affect him, and neither do graveyards.

Powers:
BLOOD MAGIC
Theo's father was a blood demon. The agility had passed on to his son.
CONTROL OF BLOOD
Theo has telekinetic control of the blood in any human or animal body within a 5-metre radius of him, including himself. As long as there is an opening in the being’s body he can literally extract the blood from their bodies, telekinetically. The blood will behave as if it is in 0G until Theo loses control of it. The being will die. Theo can choose how much blood he extracts, but the limit of the amount he could control without problem is 6 litres.
HEALING ABILITIES
Theo's blood can heal injuries and illnesses. A small amount of his blood will cause any wound to heal on contact, but it will not replenish missing body parts or senses. (He can't cure blindness.) If his blood is pumped into somebody's veins, it will cure them of all illnesses. This does not work for psychological disorders, degenerative diseases (ALS, Alzheimer's), cancers or immune system disorders due to unknown reasons.
Theo's blood will not bring a dead person back to life.
When his blood is mixed with salt, it becomes as toxic as 100% concentrated cyanide.

Theo was born to a demon father, who seduced a young earthly woman. His mother, unsettled by his son’s fiery eyes and uncomfortable with the judgement of her family and friends, decided to leave the boy up to adoption after he turned 1.
A family in the Lake District brought the little boy with his ashy hair and red eyes home, because of his age or his cute smile, nobody is certain. They already had three other, almost-grown children, anyways. Keith, Daniel, and Helen. But the Bishop family were known to be good people, and they took good care of their children. The townspeople initially were interested about this child with his queer eyes, but lost interest as Theo was just a normal child.
Theo was raised in a small town, spending the majority of his childhood around the mountains and lakes alone. He hiked, swam, and explored the area near his town, going out early in the morning and returning home at sunset and on some occasions later. He taught himself how to row a boat, finding an old canoe in a lake. Nature fascinated him. He enjoyed the company of animals and plants, making sketches of them. When school started, he went out as soon as school let out, doing his homework in the evening. This was the way his carefree life unfolded until his ninth year.
He found an injured bird in a pile of rocks that spring morning. As he attempted to reach the bird, he cut his hand on a rock. His blood touched the bird. To his wonder, the bird's injured wing began to heal. Soon, as the blood from his wound slowed to a stop, the bird looked like it had never been hurt, stared at Theo, then flew away.
That night he dreamed of a room filled with fire , a man with eyes as red as his and hair as grey as ash telling him about his origins. A half-demon boy. So that was what he was. A halfling. Theo was afraid and mentioned this to his siblings and his parents, who all reassured him rhat this was a nightmare and he was a normal little boy.
The next night, the man- his Father, Azazel- told him to shut up to anyone who asks about this.
For the next 4 years, Azazel appeared in Theo's dreams. Taught his son how to harness his powers. How his blood heals. How he could control the blood of others. Theo learned about the demon race, about how they were charming and never died from age, how crosses burned them, how salt blocked them from exiting an area. On his own, sitting in his canoe or hiding up a tree, Theo would test and practice until he got it right.
He went into an academically prestigious Catholic boarding school when he was 13, much like his siblings. The staff quickly realised something was wrong when Theo recoiled from holy water and refused to touch crosses. After forcing a cross onto his skin and splashing holy water on him, causing numerous burns, they decided that the child was... not normal. Not fit to attend a Catholic school. He was removed from the school, his leaving present being a cross.
A Manta Carlos scout came to Theo's family shortly after. They explained the prospects of Theo entering Starlight Academy and receiving a quality education free of charge. His parents discussed. It was decided that Theo should remain in the UK. He will instead be sent to another boarding school closer to home as a day-only student. He will not leave home.
The next 5 years were like that. Wearing the little silver cross under his shirt even though it burned, facing his parents who argued more and more, siblings all leaving to University one after another. Sure, he had friends in the town, but above all he preferred being on his own, sitting on a rock near the edge of a cliff and sketching the landscape below him.
It was a relief when he got to leave home for his 18th birthday, but a sad one as well since he will bid farewell to the mountains he grew up in. His parents said goodbye and with that he knew that they would get a divorce as soon as he was settled in university. In university he studied maths and got by fine, avoiding the chapel. He was on the cross country team and did a lot of kayaking, hiking, and rock climbing as well It was there where he met his first love, David. A chemistry major.
Theo was hospitalised for a month. Afterwards, he went back to school and seeming went back to normal, now spending all of his free time alone with his kayak. He smiled for everybody but never showed his true face to anybody. He was nice, and people liked him, but he wasn't happy. This continued for a year until he graduated.
He had kept the letter from starlight academy for 9 years now. He supposed that a change of environment wouldn't be bad. He accepted, enrolled in a law conversion course and passed his barrister's exams, qualifying as a full-fledged attorney.
Here he was.

David was mentally unstable. He was pressured by his family to do well. He didn't take care of his health. He drank too much. He smoked. He gradually began to lose interest in life. Theo tried to help him- believe him, he really did - but it didn't help. David refused treatment of any kind. Theo watched him sink darker and darker void his own void of unhappiness and mental illness.
Theo found David's body two hours after he took his final cocktail, a deadly one. The police found Theo unconscious in a puddle of his own blood - the blood that was supposed to heal anything - next to David's body.
