The start of a new friendship

It was a beautiful day at the Academy today and Yuu was taking full advantage of it by relaxing in the Courtyard, where she sat on a bench beside one of it's seemingly endless array of gardens full of breathtaking flora and utterly peaceful atmosphere, taking it all in with deep breath and exhaling in a small cheerful sigh.

Her mind just felt so calm and clear like this, as if any sort of problems she may have with schoolwork or with old friends and enemies alike just faded away from her memory when she was in this place, and that she felt was definitely worth spending a few minutes of relaxing to do.

Due to having just gotten out of classes for the day recently, Yuu was still wearing her school uniform and her soft brown hair was being kept up by small beads on either side of head that created little pony-tails on both sides and a backpack was being worn on her person which contained her school-materials as well as her wand that served as her main method of training her magic due to her young age and general inexperience with the arcane arts. The wand itself was a long pink pole with a red orb on the bottom and a somewhat crescent looking head with small wings fashioned upon it.

After spending a few more moments relaxing in the peacefulness of the courtyard, Yuu would then take out her wand from her backpack and hold it firmly in her hands while trying to concentrate magic on the tip of the wand as practice and, after a short while of simply concentrating on the flow of magic energy to her wand's tip, sparks of magic energy would begin to form upon it and, just as Yuu smiled and began to cheer herself for the accomplishment, the sparks fizzled away and caused the young girl to sigh softly.

It would take a long while to attune her magic past what she had already learned and, despite her desires to be stronger and able to do more - for now, she would just have to keep focusing and little by little, earn that power, as it would not simply come to her as simply as asking for it.

With a soft smile, Yuu realized that while she would not become amazingly strong in her magic overnight, it gave her the ability to learn and pace herself - There was no need to rush, after-all, she was still young and had school to worry about instead of focusing entirely on her magic.

Standing, Yuu would place her wand into her backpack and begin to wander about the Courtyard's many paths, humming a little tune to herself if she did so - though not particularly watching where she was going and would possibly bump or cross paths with someone soon enough and who knew, maybe she would meet a new face that way?

Kino was wandering through the courtyard, heading towards the dorms where he would spend the afternoon finishing up what work he needed to and begin practicing his spells. He was loosening his tie as he walked along the path. In his other hand he was holding his bag full of work he needed to do, as well as a few things he could later study for his own benefit. Being a Mage, he often took the extra time to study up on different spells, though mainly didn't bother practicing the use of anything except for the two he already prioritizes. Both involve the manipulation and manifestation of electricity. He decided that he would stick with these two abilities and master them or try to do more with them, not just because he wanted to dedicate himself to electric magic but he didn't seem to be much good at anything else at the moment.

He continued walking, soon noticing a girl taking a rest along the same path he was traveling on. She was carrying a wand. Someone else who practices magic? He thought to himself, beginning to approach the girl. She more than likely relied on that to perform her spells with, but he wondered just how many she could perform with the thing. It seemed more like a hindrance, hence why he stuck to spells that were activated by chanting or uttering two simple words like the ones he has now. However with a wand, if your spell required that then without it the girl was more than likely useless, assuming she had nothing that didn't use her wand. "Oi!" He would shout towards her, curious. "You there! The one with the wand." He said, while approaching her. "Do you study Magic as well?"
