As midnight approached under a crescent moon, an eerie fog rolled from off the sea. Out of the mist sailed an 18th-century Brigantine that looked like it has been to sea for over 300 years (actually, it was in tip-top condition, just made to look like a 300-year-old ghost ship). As soon as it docked, it dropped anchors, later the gangplank. Onboard, an elderly gentleman dressed in a black waistcoat with tails, a cream-colored double-breasted vest, white shirt, black slacks, dark brown high top boots topped off with a black top hat, and a mahogany walking stick gave orders to the crew. Not what one would expect commanding a 300-year-old ghost ship, but then again, Avax Set was not one anyone would expect.

After a few raps on the deck with his walking stick, he gave one firm rap that was heard and felt throughout the ship, which got their attention.

In a deep gentle but commanding voice, Avax Set spoke, "Welcome to Manta Carlos. I have some business to do, after which there might be representatives from Manta Carlos to help you get settled. Until then, I would recommend staying on board. You are guests of Manta Carlos and representatives of the Subliminal. I ask you to behave properly. If there are any problems, Naisiskhrea is our contact here."

He knew how Subliminals could be, but there were two his eyes sought out. A provocatively dressed dark-gray furred female Anicorn in human form with a black mane, the other, a male Centaur youth. Turning, he headed down the gangplank, followed by crewmembers carrying several boxes.

Ekya (a 7 foot tall Centaur with silver-gray belly gradually changing to a jet black stripe down his back, including a black mane and tail) knew why Avax Set singled him out. He has caused trouble before, but he has promised his mother to behave. Walking over to the railing and fixed his golden eyes on the sea. Although he enjoyed his time on the land, the sea was his home.

Soon the other troublemaker here (Sable-mane) joined him by the railing. She looked at the overstuffed backpack and saddlebags he was wearing (the only thing he was wearing), "What is in all those bags?"

He chuckled, "just all my worldly possessions - well - most of them. I do have a small trunk with a few of my gadgets."
