Her hand touched the door, and he contemplated poofing up there and opening it for her, but he decided against it, figuring that she probably thought that he was insane anyways. Besides, he'd learned at a young age never to surprise people wearing swords. His doing, of course, but still. Better safe than sorry. He'd always been raised to treat ladies like ladies, so it took a bit of self control for him not to remove her hand from the door and open it himself, but he succeeded.

As he stood, he could feel the awkward silence waiting for them just around the corner, so his mind switched gears, pondering a direction of conversation that he could take.

She opened the door and waited for him to take hold on the door before she let go. She didn't want to have the door slam on his face it wasn't very polite to do those sort of things. She felt odd to have someone know she was a girl and treat her like one. It felt extremely weird, she almost rather be treated as a guy for the simple reason she hardly had it happen and was rather afraid of relationships, as both friends and more. She let go of the door and started to walk away, she didn't know the grounds well yet and figured this would be a good time to learn them.

She looked at Ren, "So I noticed your goggles, they must be a lot like my swords to you. It's nice to have something that you never let go of, I guess that's why people who don't carry things to remind them of their dreams end up never meeting them." She said thinking about how nice it would be if she could finally achieve her goal and make all her striving finally achieve what she wanted.

Ren dipped his head. "Yeah, they are. They were my grandfathers gift to me. It's hard to explain, but he was the one in my family that I inherited my teleporting from... Not that my parents know that. He understood. And he saved a lot of lives in the wars that he fought." he shrugged. He didn't know why he'd told her that. It probably sounded stupid, but never the less, it was already out, and there was nothing he could do about it, so he just continued to pretend like he'd meant to say it.

He agreed with her comment about people letting go of their dreams. "Yeah. Most people I know already have. It's sad, when you really think about it." He contemplated shutting up, since it was rare for him to be deep with people he just met. Normally he was odd and the one that made people either laugh funny, or laugh uncomfortably. Very few people knew how deep he was. But he decided against it for now. He could always shut himself up later.

She smiled, "Your grandfather reminds me of a certain pirate, he gave me both sayas. They mean more to me than any sword, but my dream is to one day fill the sayas with two worthy swords that honor the memory of him. Of course I first have to become the world's best swordsman, but once I do I'll become what he was to many. A hero. Of course every amazing person hides their feelings, but he was like a father to me."

Fia ran her hand over her saya, she remembered the exact way he would lay his hand on the saya after a fight. He loved the sayas because they were given to him by a woman who told him to go after his dream and she'd wait. He never forgot it and promised he'd come back, sadly because of the government he ended up dying while saving a girl from drowning. He was never a bad pirate, he truly cared about more than his pocket.

Ren nodded. "People like that are one in a million. But the ones who get to spend time with them are never the same." he spoke gently, he could see the look on her face that she was remembering the pirate. He'd seen that face often, even when he was looking in the mirror, remembering his Grandfather.

"Seems like you've got a difficult past." he said quietly. He didn't mean to pry, he didn't even think he was, but after he said it, he was aware of how it might have sounded. He was just good at noticing things, which he usually kept to himself.

"Meh, it's not as bad as it could be... I suppose we both have equal badness in our past." She ran her finger over the dragon carved in the saya, "I think it would've been worse if they deserved their fate..." She said with a light barely noticable kind smile.

She smiled, "You know what though, they still are living, in those that met them. I've picked up some of the captain's habits in swordsmanship and it's fun to remember them doing something they enjoyed enough to instill it in your memory." She continued to walk they soon reached the lake, "Oh so this is where that path leds." She chuckled, "I have ziltch sense of direction..."

Ren grinned. He wasn't really paying attention to where they were going. He rarely did. He looked at the lake. He hadn't been here since he got here, and he looked around, taking in his surroundings. "It's nice here. A bit nippy, but still nice." he remarked, more to himself than to her.

He crossed his arms, rubbing his arms. He was a bit chilly, and he contemplated returning this hoodie and getting a warmer one, but he decided against it.

She smiled looking at the lake, "It is nice, but... it never can compare to the sea that's for sure... Or at least in my mind." She said with a light smile, "There's nothing like the waves and beauty of the sea, that's why so many become pirates so they can sail it freely. Other's search for gold but the sea always seems so alive compared to the stillness of this lake... That's why it can't compare." She said picking up a stone and tossing it in just to see the splash.

She smiled seeing the water ripple like tiny waves towards the shore. To many it seemed odd how the sea could be a moving body of water, never quitting motion. But that was something only the great keeper of the sea knew. God knew, he knew why the sea called to many. The want to know what lay beyond the horizon, the want to see what no man has seen before. Many pirates considered heaven just another adventure. Her captain was one of those men, she smiled. He was a man of little fear, one fear the captain had was disobeying God.

Even though he was named a pirate, he wasn't a thief or a murderous killer. He ran from his old country in search of true freedom and relying on God he started to help people who had been kicked out of their countries and only fought fights he had to. But encouraged dreams in the young and even the old. He always talked about how anything was possible if one had God on their side. Fia always kept his words in her heart and tried to remain a good person. She didn't understand all of her captain's words, but she figured she'd figure it out before her time on earth ended.

Ren dipped his head. He'd never really seen much of the ocean. He'd been land locked most of his life, but he knew the feeling. There was something about the mountains that did the same thing for him. "I've never really been around the ocean much, but I know what you mean. There are certain things that we see around us that just fill us up."

"True... Many places are like that, one day you should go on the ocean... I'm sure you'd like it, it's a amazing place." She then chuckled, "Though you might get white hair early." She said taking a handful of her hair to show. She laughed lightly... "Actualy this is natural, I inherited it from my relatives. Ever since I was born I had white hair, kids made fun of me for it. But I love it's oddity and it's much more serious of a color for a swordsman." She said with a light smile, "I guess your seeing my nice side, but that's only because you saw me without my usual swordsman apparel on."

She looked at the sky, it was a rather nice scene. She wasn't the type who thought of relationships, she was more interesting in fighting or protecting people then getting mushy. She picked up a small stone tossing it in again she then smiled... "Hey... how about we... practice our fighting skills?" She said excitement in her eyes.
