Skittles was deeply engrossed in her book. She was sitting in the back of the library in one of the lounge chairs, positioned very strangely. One leg was over the arm of the chair, and the other was on the floor. Her back was against the other arm, and her arms were rested against her sides.

She'd pulled her hair up into a high ponytail, and her makeup was slightly Japanese today. She giggled and shifted her position as she reached a cute part in her book. Then she pulled her black t-shirt over her midriff, without removing her eyes from the pages of her book. As usual, she had totally tuned out everything around her, and was practically living her book.

The many shiney silver bangles around her wrists jingled as she moved her hand to turn the pages of her book, as did her shiney dangly earings when she shook her head at a part in the book.

Stalk. Stalk. Stalk.

The hunter moved forward, sensing his prey completely at ease in her seat. She seemed not to notice any of her surroundings and he took advantage of that, moving even closer as she turned the pages. When she still didn't turn around, even after some of his buttons hit the table behind her, he moved soundlessly forward, deciding on his best course of action.

Muscles bunched in expectation of finishing the hunt, of finally capturing his prey. Finally, with a tremendous leap, the boy landed on top of the reading girl's table. It was quiet enough that the librarian wouldn't hear him, nor would she see him through the aisles, but if she wasn't as oblivious as she seemed she would surely hear him. And if that didn't work there was always Plan B.

Zyk moved extremely close, totally violating her personal bubble. "Hi there." Handsome face grinned amiably, goldenish eyes sparkling with mischief. There was no random reason he was in the library. No, he was actually hear with a purpose. Apparently one of his siblings, Ora, was here and he was bent on finding her. He figured that the library would hold the best leads.

Skittles swam to the surface at the sound of a thump, and was very aware of someone's presence. Especially since they were invading her space freakishly. She drew her eyes from the pages of her book and closed one eye, peering up at him. Then without warning, her small hands connected with his shoulders and sent him backwards. Then she smirked lightly at him. "Hi." she responded in kind, adjusting her position so as to get up and run if need be.

She was vaguely aware that this guy was good looking, but she wasn't thinking of that. At the moment she was thinking of how he had violated one of her pet peeves by invading her space.

Zyk was almost prepared when she sent him sliding backwards a few inches, almost. He did still move after all. A small chuckle bubbled in his throat and he worked to keep himself quiet, soldiers instincts totally lost in his upbringing. He did sense that she was on edge, but that only spurred on his curiosity. "Are you scared?" He peered at her from under long black bangs, head tilted in confusion.

Silly girl, there was nothing to be scared of. In the hopes of illustrating that point Zyk shuffled a little closer again, though not as close this time, and poked her gently in the forehead. "Whatcha doing? What's your name? Know anybody named Ora? Whatcha reading? How long have you been here?"

"Are you scared?"

She glanced up at him and her stomach did a little flop. Then she blinked and snapped out of it to hear him fire a stream of questions at her. She raised an eyebrow and breathed out slowly, glancing at the number of her page and closing her book, giving up on reading any more until this guy left her alone.

"I'm reading, my name is Skittles, no I don't know anyone named Ora, I'm reading Janet Evonavich, and I've only been here a week or two." she answered each of his questions in order out of habit, forgetting that her mind wasn't supposed to work as fast as it did.

Then she poked him in the forehead and fired a stream of questions at him. "What's your name? Why are you on my table? Do you need help finding someone named Ora? And how long have you been here?" she was vaguely aware that his ...feeling was relaxing and emotionally refreshing. Which made her feel relaxed and unafraid. It was nice.

This girl was quite interesting, yes indeedy. It was odd, most people felt mildly comfortable in his presence. He didn't know quite what it was that relaxed them and after a moments hesitation this Skittles person, just another odd thing about her, seemed to calm down in just the slightest bit. He grinned at how quickly she seemed to answer his questions and wondered just exactly how her mind worked.

"I'm Zyk. The table seems a reasonable enough place to sit to me. No I don't need help finding Ora, I was just hoping that you could make my quest that much easier by providing some information pertaining to her whereabouts. I've been here for about..." He trailed off and made an exaggerated movement out of checking the clock on the wall above her, "Fifteen minutes." He flashed her another charming smile. Zyk wasn't stupid, he knew he was fairly attractive and generally used that tiny detail to influence people to his liking. Or tried to anyways, he hadn't been having much luck with it lately.

Skittles smirked lightly. Yup. He was definately cute. And fun, but he seemed to know it. She was quietly pondering how to help him on his quest, since she'd been here longer than him. She quirked her eyebrow at him. "Long lost sister, or girlfriend or something?" she questioned rather bleakly. Then she shifted slightly. So much for natural. She was just not so good with her mouth, and with thinking before she spoke.

She glanced up at him, and her clear blue eyes made contact with his. Accustomed to not making eyecontact, she glanced away, but not before the obvious window to her soul was opened for a split second. It was enough to make her feel freakishly uncomfortable and nervous. She stood, nearly bumping into him. "Well, I know some people around the campus like the janitor and stuff... I could talk to some of them about if they know anyone named Ora." she said quietly, avoiding eye contact, and trying desperately not to blush, though she could feel a slight heat creeping up her neck.
