Strange as it was, Eben was wearing different clothing. He wore blue jeans, and a black t-shirt that had nothing on it, and his hair was combed nicely, and you would be able to tell he had a good nights rest, other then what he normally looked like.. He was standing in a row of history books, with one in his hands he read. He was so amazed by history, and how things around him were advanced, things back then were primitive then what was here now, but he was a bit disgusted about these terrible wars, even if there were many back then, he didn't care, he never really did.

He looked normal, not wearing his white clothing, that would make people who knew him, not really remember who he was. He was smiling a bit as he read, and read, not caring much of what was going around, and he didn't listen to any voice that was around, and his powers seemed to turn themselves off so he could read. He was so wrapped up his the book he didn't even notice people trying to get through, and he didn't care, he didn't care for anything except his books, his lovely books, that always filled him with joy.

A while ago, she'd pulled out a medieval history book, and began to read it, little things like pencils floating off of her desk as she lost herself in the book. She'd been reading for a while, ignoring the strand of black and red streaked hair that kept making it's way to her face, until finally, she let go of the book, pinning the hair down in frustration. In her frustration, her mind and turned several pages in the book, and when she looked down, everything that had been floating around her crashed down. Bane. In big bold letters. 'That's like Trephas' family..' she mused to herself, and immediately, everything began to float again, figuring that it was probably just Trephas's ancestors.

She'd read half a page on the Bane family, before she stared in thought. Trephas Ark Bane. Eben Trephas Bane. the objects clattered down again. This was very interesting. She wasn't even sure that she wanted to keep going, but she did. The Bane was very affluent in society, until their sudden disapearance. All of the Banes disapeared without a trace, leaving everything behind. Even to this day, no one know where they are. her eyes scanned the sentence over and over in disbelief, before she stood, turning from the book and walking around slowly, trying to shake the cobwebs from her head. This couldn't be true.. It was too weird. Yet somehow, she knew that it was true.

Suddenly, Eben closed his book, he felt that something was wrong, like someone else knew a secret his family kept, but he didn't know why. He gently put the book back, almost as if it would break if he didn't put it back neatly. Then he turned around and walked out of the rows of books, he wanted to tell Trephas that he thinks someone knows there family's secret, but as he passed a table, he saw the book, and it was open.

He went over to it and read the entire page, and anger flashed through his eyes, and then he looked up and around the room, and noticed Lex, walking around. She most have read it, Eben thought angrily. He picked up the book and closed it with a loud snap, to get the girl's attention. Anger was clear in his eyes, which anger never really does, but right now, he is angry. "Catching up on your history, are we?" Said his stern angry voice, and some people looked up from their books, but soon went back to their reading, though Eben knew they would continue to listen.

Lex spun on her heel, looking for the source of the angry voice, and was a bit surprised to find Eben staring at her accusingly. She had hoped it wasn't true, but considering Eben's look, accusitory tone, and the fact that he held the book in his hands told her that she was right. Her eyes slammed shut over her emotions, hiding the flare of anger that welled up inside her, though a book fell rather violently off of a shelf. "I don't think I like what you're getting at." she said slowly, her words careful and measured, barely audible. The books on a shelf rattled for a moment, before she coaxed herself, 'Control, control..' the shaking subsided, however, her anger did not. A small voice in the back of her mind told her to walk away, but she remained where she was, dull eyes watching Eben, as though she didn't care about a thing in the world.

It had been a messed up week, and the last thing she needed was Eben accusing her. It was as though he thought she was planning a murder. The books started rattling again, 'Control, control!.'

He continued to stare at Lex, anger still flaring in his eyes, though when a book fell to the floor he wince slightly, but he still continued to watch Lex. He noticed that she was angry, obviously because he told Trephas to ask her about her old school, and such. A few days ago, his cousin told him that Lex knows about their family and how their disappearing, by some strange people, that Eben sees, he even sees their past, but does not wish too.

"You don't like what I'm getting at? Well, poor you." He said angrily, and he took a step forward but stopped himself. "You shouldn't have read this." He hissed still anger smoldered in his voice, and he held the book in a tight grip. Why does Trephas waste his time on this girl? he thought to himself.

Several more books fell off as her anger took over her, bringing her past her boiling point to her strongest point. Her eyes darkened, as though the scariest sea storm immaginable had just come over her. She turned pale, but not of fear, but instead, pure anger, she clenched her fists tightly at her sides, trying to control herself. "I. have. nothing. to. say. to. you." she stopped almost completely after every word, her words even quieter, dripping with control. She turned on her heel then, forcing herself to walk away, taking slow, measured steps, focusing on walking rather than the need to throw Eben against the wall, her anger filling almost all of her being. 'Step..Step..' she told herself, trying desperately to keep control, 'He'd Trephas's cousin..Walk away..'

"Nothing? You have nothing to say? I think you do." He said sneering. He watched as she turned around and started walking slowly away, and it angered him, it usually wouldn't, but right now he was angry, and rage passed over in his eyes, almost with maniac glint to it. He walked forward in long strides, and the book that was in his hands fell to the floor with a loud thud. He grabbed hold of Lex's shoulder, and held tightly so she couldn't walk away.

"I'm not through with you." He said, rage in his voice, and for some reason a smile played across his face, but then disappeared as fast as it came.

As soon as he touched her, it was like a pulse of energy passed out of her body. Several books a great distance away from her fell off of their shelves, and without even batting an eyelash, Eben was raised from the ground, and thrust rapidly against the wall, the strength of her anger holding him there. The she spun, and looked at him. Her eyes were nearly black now, her mouth set in a firm line. Slowly she approached him, the presure of her mind upon him bearing down harder as she moved. "I have done nothing to you. I walked away so that I could continue that record, but you've pushed me too far." her words dripped with acidic anger, clenching her fists and pushing his arms closer against the wall.

She stopped when she was close by him, her voice cold as steel, but extremely quite. "You know nothing of me. One memory does not give you a window into my past," she made solid eye contact with him, "Do. Not. Make." each word released then pushed him against the wall again, "The mistake of thinking the whole world is out to get you, Eben Bane."

As he was up in the air, and hit against the wall, hitting his back so hard it seemed to knock the air out of him and he gasped, and pain was clear in his eyes, though beneath his anger. By now, everyone in the library were standing and backing up towards the door, possibly afraid of what power Eben held. But, no. What power did Eben have? Nothing that would protect him from telekinesis, nothing that could protect him from anything. He listened to her words, but he didn't really seem to care, but all the still, he listened to them and took them in, thinking them over, but as he was pushed up against the wall again, all thoughts left him, left him to be replaced by his anger.

"You have done nothing to me, but my family! You have seen our most treasured secret, that we, had! No one knows who we are, and now you do! A girl of a modern world knows our secret!" Eben said in anger.

"And you know nothing of me either. And what do you know what a memory could give me? Do you even know what a memory gives you? A memory could have many windows, or none at all, though the only way to have a window is if you search and search." He said, in a angered tone. "What if I know of a doorway, a window that I found to another memory, but do not wish to enter. I could look now if I please. Should I? Should I look, Alexandra. Look into more of your past?" He said, ignoring what she said last.

It was not his threat that bothered her, for she knew that were he to look into her past, into her memories, only shock, pain, utter terror, would fill him. But still her anger went out of her, and she released him gently to the ground. Now had she been like any normal girl, she probably would have cried, but she rarely cried. Ever. Still, her eyes turned several shades lighter. "Do you really think that I'd use it against you?" her voice was raised now, surprisingly, proof that she was no longer angry. She spread her arms wide, feet planted, her gaze neither scared nor challenging, "Go for it. Do whatever you want. Beat me up for all I care. Even look into my memories. Maybe it'll explain why I'm not afraid of you." she drew a deep breath, "Though, I'm not sure you could handle it." her words were earnest, even though she knew he was angry beyond logic, just as she had been just a second ago.

She dropped her arms to her sides. "Go for it Eben. Look for all my secrets. I don't care." her words were solid. There was no fear, no anger, no sadness, just stability. She'd learned long ago how to capture her emotions in a bottle. She'd have to do some more dancing after this.
