The cop in Raphael wanted to say something, about how she could get in trouble for shooting in the wrong part of the woods. Loud noises, stray bullets, littering, all that stuff. The forest rangers probably hated it, and if one of his colleagues was called out for a noise complaint they'd probably be annoyed too.

But the idea felt good to him. Her arms wrapped around his arm felt nice. He already liked hanging out in the wilder parts of the island, and he liked shooting, but he would never use a gun to hunt. She hadn't invited him, but he was already imagining joining her for something like that. Something outside. It was an ideal date, to him.

They would probably need to spend a lot more time with each other before she would feel comfortable doing something like that with him. They were definitely still at a 'going-home-early' and 'only-meeting-you-in-public-places' phase of their courtship. And it was courtship. He was sure of it now.

"Let's get you home, then." He would nod to the waiter, lead her out of the restaurant. With some hestitation, he asked - "What do you think she'd be getting up to?"

Hopefully not anything illegal. He didn't want a conflict of interest on his paws.

Alice gave a soft chuckle as Raphael asked what she thought her sister was getting up to. "Oh probably something harmless, for all I know she might be trying to guess the password to the Pay-Per-View again. That or rearranging the stuff in my room so it will take me an afternoon or so to get things back into place. You know, those younger sibling things that sometimes get on ones nerves. But being family we have to live with it." Alice chuckled again.

"Do you have any direct siblings or other family? I can't remember if we've talked about that subject." Alice only let go of Raphael's arm once they reached her car so they could begin making their way back to Alice's home.

Raphael inhaled. He knew this would come up eventually. "Not by blood. No clue who my dad is or what's happened to my mother. She ditched me not long after I was born. Mostly just my grandparents raised me until I got here and the pack adopted me."

He shrugged. As she let go of him, he shifted into his more human form and joined Alice in her car. His grimace was easier to pick up on a human face. "I'm still close with my grandparents, though. They live in the States, but we go back and forth on visiting each other. I had it better than a lot of the kids who end up at the Academy."

Alice listened quietly and let Raphael tell his story. When he was finished they had reached the car and were already getting inside. "I'm sorry, I didn't know." She placed a hand on one of his as she started up the car. "Though your grandparent's sound like lovely people." Alice began to drive, and that took both of her hands to do, or at least the Get Away Driver part of her mind required her to.

"I wouldn't mind meeting them the next time they visit." Alice tried to give Raphael a reassuring smile before it turned a little wicked. "Though I do believe, something like that is usually after a few dates. So I hope we can do this again at some time." The elf was trying to lighten the mood again, and hopefully get another date planned in the process.
