Catalina sat across from him, crossing her legs under herself. "I don't know anything about the project at all. Makes it hard to determine what I want to know, precisely. Give me a summary of what it was about and why."
Eden grinned and sharpened a bladed hand. "Project Eden. Like the bible story they wanted to make a perfect world. Not many know but the world was actually one wrong word away from starting another world war when they made the project. The goal was simple, create a being that will be the ultimate peace keeper. If one fails, scrap them and start again. If it succeeds, well, you've got an unkillable peace keeper. They tried on willing and unwilling subjects. Their bodies couldn't handle all torture that it required for the abilities to activate and how to handle each situation. So, they decided to make a artificial being. One grown from a test tube. Human, but a few altered genes." Eden's grin grew into a full blown smile.
"Their idea was to bully people into keeping the peace?" She asked, eyeing his bladed hand as evidence of this.

Eden laughed "Glad I didn't have to explain who the articifal human was. No. They simply made sure he had amnesia up until he was 21. They even wrote their files to make it seem like he was just an abducted human. As for your first statement.....if you want peace for years you negotiate. If you want peace for lifetimes to come you make them fear you. Now, 3817 was created with the powers already in his body. He didn't know about it though, and they still needed to be 'awakened'. The only thing they didn't prepare for was me."
Eden shook his head. "What ever is shifting is destroyed on the inside, that means bones, muscle, but first is the nerves. If it did hurt I would be incapable of feeling it due to the nerves being destroyed."
Eden grinned "Oh I do enjoy pain, the nerves and such reconnect once the shifting is done. Now....is what insinctive for me? Enjoying pain? If I didn't enjoy that the body would just make another personality. It's goal to make me a sadist and masochist. I was to enjoy the pain so 3817 wouldn't have to deal with it."
