Eden smiled larger. His bladed hand morphed into a large flat like bandage. He raised towards the air and looked at Catalina. "I could stop the bleeding you know, if you really want it." He looked her in the face and chuckled "I don't know what I like more. Your natural form, or this form. Actually probably your natural form, I did bang it after all." ​

"I'll be fine." She returned his smile, but hers was still guarded. She couldn't remember a time she had smiled any differently.

Catalina noted that it seemed any tension that had followed them here was gone now. It made her want to laugh, but she suppressed it.

"To me, both forms are natural at this point. Otherwise, I might walk around unglamoured."

She distantly remembered a time, in Underhill, when she used no glamour and neither did the other members of the Unseelie court. That was a long time ago.

The disformed hand returned to its normal state and rested on the ground. Eden looked at her and sighed. "Yes well you may have either form when ever you want around me. I truly don't care in the slightest." The cuts he had recived during their 'gutting' started to heal, slowly, strands of muscle reconnected and the skin started to come together.

Catalina closed her eyes when she opened them she had dropped the glamour. She did it again, this time adopting the glamour. She did this several times before settling on her "true" form.

Yes, it had been a very long time. She wasn't sure whether she missed those times or not. She supposed it didn't matter. Miss them or not they were gone.

"Be glad you are not immortal," she said at last.

To be fair, the fae were not necessarily immortal. They lived long enough that they might as well be, though. She had never known of one to die of old age.

Was she unhappy to be long-lived? No. Would she have been happier live as shortly as humans? Hard to say. She had never even been remotely human. Which led her to her next question.

"What is it like? To be human, that is."

Eden actually had to think about that. He had never actually thought himself to be human. "Well. I am the split personality so most of my 'life' I sit there in darkness waiting for release. But when I am in control.....being human feels.......strange. Everyday could likely be your last due to all the health problems humans can receive. But it is also freeing. To know you aren't likely the only one with what ever your dealing with. Well....you know what I mean."

It was clear by the look on her face as she stared at him that she didn't understand.

Her eyebrows drew in as she thought, but she couldn't imagine that feeling of community.

"I see," she said slowly and uncomfortably.

Catalina rolled up and collected her clothing, getting dressed in silence. It gave her some more time to think.

'Never alone'? Odd. Very odd. And he said it like it was a good thing?

Eden thought back to his time at the lab. Back then he was the main personality. He had learned so many things there. So many secrets nobody else knew. He had made sure of that. He had taught 3817 very little of who they actually were, what Project Eden was truly about. He couldn't help but laugh as he put the towel back on. He was the only one who fully knew about 3817 or Project Eden. All the people who did know were dead by his hands.

Catalina's interest had been caught at his sudden laughter. It immediately pulled her from the past, which was lucky. Those with immortality shouldn't think too much on the past.

"What's got you so giddy?" She asked.

Eden smiled "Nothing just remembering my time in the lab. That's where I got my name you know. I stole it from what the project was called, Project Eden. You should have seen their faces when they first met me. 3817 couldn't handle the physical and mental torture so his mind created me to deal with it."
