Havoc couldn't help but wonder where he was from, that he was adjusting to going to school. Maybe he was an alien. Maybe he was a spirit.
Manta Carlos was a strange place, after all.
"Yes," Havoc confirmed. "And yes. For physical education." He was actually slightly older than he should have been as a first year, but that had never seriously bothered him. Havoc was a serious person, but he could hardly be considered dedicated to his studies.
"Where were you from before?" He asked, uninterested in following the social niceties that would have required him to keep his questions to himself.

"West coast of the U.S.," he said, "a place called Ashton City," it was a crime hell hole, a truly awful place. "I got here back in October," a lot had happened sense then.
"Anyways.....thank you," the books might not have been expensive, but they meant a lot to James. He grew up with nothing, so he appreciated even the simple things.
Christmas, something so many take granted for. For some it's a religious holiday, for others a time to receive gifts. For young James it had never meant much before, now, going forward, he'd look at it as a time to be thankful. Thankful for his new life.

"Never heard of it," Havoc admitted, entirely honestly. He didn't bother to fill in his own answers--that he was from California, and that he'd arrived in November.
"You're welcome," Havoc said. "And thank you for the gift." He'd already collected it all up and was ready to go, so he considered the conversation closed.
Without another word Havoc headed off, back to class without another thought.
