Bambulina Tozzi-Medici, or as she was known to family and friends, Bamb, was standing on one of the vast lawns of the massive estate. The reanumated girl, was wearing a short sleeved shirt, an older and somewhat busted pair of jeans, and a new black colored running shoes. She had a messenger back on her as well and was just lost in her thoughts.
The undead zombie was totally new to the unigue academy, having just woken for a half a year of sleep, and unintensionally ended up damaging her own grave in the process. That was just three days ago, and if feels like over a week has passed since then.

Keeping track of time, was not something that the zombie did, as time was a joke to somebody who was dead for almost 50 years already. As she stood there with perfect stillness, the nice spring sun slightly shone of her very pale skin, making it an even more unsusual sight. She hardly knoticed that a playful small actually landed on the front side of her messenger bad and interestedly was looking over the pale and still statue-like something that it was on.

Bambulina also did not really hear somebody that was approaching her general direction, as she was suddenly feeling a little lost. Being dead was not a fun thing, she was constantly always early or always late, so she had to pay very close attention to arrive right on time for important events, like races and business meeting and concerts and to catch her possible flights. She was also looked down on by a few business people, due to her low level of social skills, and even made fun of and humiliated by former class mates during what minimal proper schooling she was able to attend. It was hurtull, even to remember it, and it actually started her introverted nature, being undead added to that exponentially.

She still wanted to hide from personal meetings, as she was afraid of being made fun of or teased, humiliated of even attacked and hurt... simply due to the fact that she was a reanimated corpse... a zombie. And she knew how the general public reacted to knowing about her undead status. Luckily, the general public only knew that she was a supernatural... and only the people that she personally met know that she is a zombie. Her parents, whom she loves beyond life and death, are one of the small amount of people who totally accept her as being a zombie.

Natasha put on her dark sunglasses before she left the school library with a few books on the history on Manta Carlos. Even though she was only partly a vampire, and could safely go out in the day time, the sunlight still hurt her eyes. Even now, 200 and some years later, Natasha still needed to shade her eyes from the glare of a sunny day. Thankfully, the invention of dark lensed glasses near the end of the 1700’s had made her day time life easier – and less painful. Who’d think the semi-undead could still feel pain? It was rather ironic, she mused as she descended the school’s steps and walked across the courtyard in black jeans, a grey corseted top and black jean jacket.

As Natasha walked, she spotted somebody, a young girl, standing in the middle of the yard. Keeping her eye on her, curious as to why she was there, immobile, not really doing anything, Natasha decided to make her way over to see if she was okay.

As she got closer, Natasha noticed something was a little different about the girl, something, perhaps, one undead might unconsciously sense about another, but not something Natasha could actually put her finger on. She just knew the girl wasn’t fully human anymore, and was sure that she wasn’t a vampire either, but that was all.

“Hello there?!” Natasha said as she got closer to the young woman, “Are you okay? Can I help you with something? She offered as she held shifted her books from one hand to the other.

Bambulina silently started at the playful an very sweet little creature. Becoming happy inside, her face formed into a warm smile, as she studies the little bird. As she was happy, the bird suddenly, alert of something and flew off from the motionless zombie and onto the lawn, just a few feet away.
This made the undead, a little sad, she did not want it to leave, it was such a nice little friendly creature, not minding at all, that she was friending a zombie. Animals knew better then humans, they where not intolerant, had no problems with others in general.
Suddenly Bamb heard the voice of another female, coming from near by. Suddenly, for a mere moment, the strong willed zombie, who was far too strong to let her hunger take away her mind, lost some of her focus, and for a moment, had a strong urge to feed on the approaching person. Luckily the urge was not strong enught for her to move towards the female, but for another second, her brain was clouded with great confusion. This frightened her slightly, as this was the border between friendly and mindless zombie. She was able to regain her clear mind, but not before somewhat exposing her true nature.
" Ggrrreeehhh!... i... i mean, hello there... yes i am alright, thank you. " The Italian undead girl first, unintentionally let out a low grow, before she poke a little nervously, with a slight Italian accent. She had tried hard to get rid of it, but was simply never able to practice enught for her accent to be gone, but it was luckily not very strong.
Bambulina smiled shyly and briefly at the very attractive female. She glanced back to the laws and after it took her a few moments to reloacate the little bird she grew content again, She was happy that the little ball of feathers was still there. She then turned back to the other female and spoke again " Well, i am totally new here, so i am just a little lost... but that is not a problem. " She added.

Natasha did notice the growl-like noise the girl made when she greeted her, but figured that Nat had, perhaps, startled the young woman and it was just a very strange “I’m startled” noise, or maybe even a nervous snort of some sort. And besides, Nat did not want to seem rude or anything, so she thought better and chose to ignore it altogether.

“That’s great to hear.” Natasha said sort of relieved as she followed the girl’s gaze when she looked up, wondering silently what had caught her attention, she did seem to be somewhat distracted by something, or maybe she was just shy around strangers, Nat thought as she eyed her curiously behind her dark lenses. “I thought that maybe you needed some help or something.” Nat admitted as she gazed at the young woman over the rim of her dark sunglasses.

“Goodness, do I ever know that one.” Natasha remarked with a friendly grin when the girl said she was a little lost, “I’m new here too, and I’m constantly getting lost. This place is huge! All I can tell you is how to get from this school to my apartment or from my apartment to the pier or the corner store safely.” Natasha admitted with a tiny chuckle, “I’m just terrible at directions.” she added, “But maybe between the two of us, we can find where you want to go.” she said hoping to be helpful if she could.

Bambulina smirked softly and after a moment of glancing up at the very attractive girl, she lowered her eyes in shyness, and spoke in a somewhat low voice. "Well, yesterday, was all the paperwork for me to join the academy, but i was led to where i needed to go and from there back to the main entrance of the building... that is about it, and now i am exploring the grounds, hoping to not get too lost, i need to keep the building in sight at all times, until i am able to find my way around much easier. " Bamb spoke softly before turning to glance back at the small bird again, who only after a long moment, finally took flight and flew away.
This made the zombie girl, a little sad but did not have too much time to think about it, as the zombie girl just had an idea. Since she has wanted to invest into the local real estate since, before she was burried, she had the idea to venture into the city again. Bambulina was also actually getting fairly hungry, and would need to eat some meat soon, before she would expose herself, her true nature to the other girl.
"I heard that there a few good restaurants not too far from here, i need to fee... i mean eat something soon. " She spoke and hurried to correct herself, but suddenly she got really nervous, but did not show it. As she started slightly sweating, her natural strink slowly grew. She needed to watch what she said, she did not want to scare the poor girl off. She started walking outwards, towards the main gate.

Nodding in quiet understanding, Natasha could only guess the hassles of signing up for school. She, herself, had never gone to school. Sure, she had had private tutors at the Royal court, but back them, they just taught you to read and write so that you could be more interesting and charming than normal women, who were unschooled and quite illiterate.

“The school sure looks like a pretty imposing place,” Natasha conceded as she glanced at the large building behind them. “Do you need to sign up every year? Or is this your first year there?” she asked the girl, not very sure how school systems worked in the modern age.

Hearing her explain that she needed to keep the school within sight at all times rang a chord with Natasha. She definitely knew what that was like to not be that great with directions or new places.

“Sure, I ‘d love a snack,” Natasha said when the girl suggested that they go into town to get something to eat. It was nice being part vampire, she never gained weight anymore and could eat whatever she wanted.

When the girl took off suddenly towards the school gates, Natasha followed quickly behind her, catching the scent, which didn’t actually offend her and reminded her of other undeads. “Hey, wait…” Natasha called out as she ran up beside the girl, “I didn’t catch your name.” she said, then, “I’m Natasha by the way.” introducing herself.

She grew even more intimidated and sweaty, as the other girl told her to wait. She thought that she would demand to know that she was. Unable to help it , but Bamb was always sacred of first meetings, she did not want to have to deal with possibly unintentionally scarring a new person off... witch happened quite a few times before.
She eased up internally as she understood that the other girl wanted to only know her name. She stopped and turned to face her, just like her parents helped her learn most of the social skilled that she managed to collect... but she know that it was still not the best... she just never had enught time to learn these things.
She smirked shyly and for a long moment looked at the shades that the girl had on. " You may or may not have heard about me before... My name is Bambulina Tozzi-Medici. " She smiled faintly at the pretty girl, maybe the other girl was not into sports. It was a pretty funny situation... in the sports world, the undead girl, was very well know, heck, she was almost legendary for collecting so many gold medals and was iconic for being one of the very few superhumans that where allowed to compete in the Olympic Games, and she most visibly different from normal humans. But Montra Carlos was different then the outside world.
" I am a popular sports person in the world that is outside of Montra Carlos. " Bambulina spoke with a shy half smile and continued to make her way. Nearly reaching the gates already. As she passed by the large iron gates she looked at the fancy gates with a friendly look. She had always found such gates to give off a slight peaceful aura.
Bambulina. then headed towards one of her favorite paths that would take her into the heart of the city. "If my name is too long to say, you can call me Bamb. " The zombie girl spoke, glancing at the other girl. She was heading in the direction of the smaller graveyard that she recently broke free from. Part of the graveyard was already visible in the fair distance up ahead, but if actually made Bambulina a little calmer... it was to a degree, a second home to her.

When the girl finally stopped and told Nat her name and that she had won some medals, Natasha stood there thinking for a moment, and pulled down her dark sunglasses to get a better look at the girl before her. She didn’t exactly follow sports, but she did have a TV, and she did read newspapers, and well, she had a pretty good memory, so it didn’t take Nat long to place who the girl was.

“You know, I do actually know who you are. You are a pretty famous swimmer if haven’t mixed you up with someone else.” Natasha said with a smile as she put back on her sunglasses, quite pleased that she knew who Bambalina Tozzi-Medici was. “And, I’m not from Manta Carlos. I am an outsider here. I used to live in Wales before I move to the island a few days ago.” she explained as she walked beside her this time keeping pace with Bambulina.

“Also, I get the distinct feeling that you are worried about something… You seem a little distracted.” Natasha said, not wanting to pry but she kept getting the distinct feeling something was bothering Bamb. Then another possibility sprung to mind, "I haven't offended you in some way, have I?"

She smiled widely when Nat told her that she actually knew her from somewhere. It did not take long for the other girl to tell her. Bambulina smirked slighty "And Runner and Gymnast, but yes, you are correct. " She spoke, and her naturally straight face, grew into a fairly wide smile.
It always made Bamb exited and proud when somebody out of the sport world recognized her somewhere. " Well, that is a beautiful place, Nat... i am from Italy. Rome to be exact. So that makes the both of us, in fact, outsiders, but i am living here for the time being. i like it here. " She spoke with a shy little shrug. And even if her face was not visibly happy, she herself gave off a fairly happy aura right now. "Los Angeles, Seoul, Barcelona, Atlanta, London, Rio, and hopefully i will be able to qualify for Tokyo. " She smiled gently and happily.
When Nat told the zombie that she seemed to be worried, Bamb lost all of her happiness and grew very uneasy.
" Well... please try not to freak out and run away, but well... i am not human anymore. " The undead girl hung her head slightly, from shame and the once again possible fear of being labled as 'a mindless zombie' or 'another monster'. "I am a reanimated corpse... i am a zombie. " She muttered just loud enught for the other girl to read her, and was afraid of the possible reaction of the other girl, so Bamb, did not look into the eyes of the other person. She only glanced up before she hurried to add. "But i swear i am a very nice person, who is nothing like the others of my kind." Bamb hurried to try to ease the girl before Nat, would scream in panic and run away, of worst... hurt Bamb.

"Runner and gymnast too? I did not know that." Natasha replied visibly impressed at her accomplishments. Heaven knows, mastering such disciplines was probably harder than painting, or anything else Natasha could think of.

"I used to live in Italy." Natasha told Bambulina, "Not Rome, too noisy for me, I'm afraid... but Florence, and for a brief time, Venice. It's beautiful country."

When Bambulina very hesitantly, and quite nervously, told Natasha that she was an undead, and that she was actually a very nice person, Natasha finally understood what was happening here, and why she was avoiding but not Nat. Stifling the urge to laugh at the rather ironic misunderstanding, Natasha decided to remain as serious and calm as she could.

"Bamb," Natasha started out very gently so as to not worry Bambulina anymore than she already was, "I already know you are an undead. I sensed it the moment I laid eyes on you." she said with an understanding look and smile, "I am a vampire." she told the girl, "And I'm actually more surprised that you didn't guess that. I actually thought you might be afraid of me." she confessed. Natasha had met quite a few people, dead and alive, over the centuries that didn't like vampires.
