The new class

Sorcha walked into the Cell Bio class and saw two empty seats in the back of the room. She sat down in one and saved the other one for Naka. While she waited she quickly scanned her notes that she had scribbled while she read the first chapter. It was so important to her to do well in this class. She might ask Naka if he could help her with it, she was under the impression he did well in all of his classes, but especially the sciences. She was not too concerned with not understanding the content, she just wasn't sure she could be the Professors best student. Well, being the fatalist she was, she figured that only time would tell.

Naka walked into class and took his usual seat next to Sorcha. He was feeling somewhat lazy today so he left most of his class stuff in the bag. With Sorcha wanting the scholarship, and Naka not wanting it, it was a harder matter to compete with her for it while simultaneously not being interested. Still, he mentally shrugged and continued about, pulling out a pencil and some paper just in case. Most of professor Kagerouryu's courses were laden with things he would put on the tests, and his lectures were filled with things not found in the book once you got to the advanced level. At the very least, Naka was getting college credit, though he hadn't paid for any of it since he got here and was starting to wonder why. Where before he hadn't cared, he didn't know why none of this was costing anything for him when he should have been in debt by now.

Sorcha glanced at Naka and smiled as he sat down next to her. She was about to say hello to him when Dr. Kage started talking. Sorcha started taking notes on just about everything , worried that she might miss something important. Although, it was difficult with Naka sitting there, and seemingly not paying attention. She wondered what that was about, usually he was very attentive when listening to people.

Sorcha lost all track of time while she listened to Dr. Kage. The next thing she knew Dr. Kage was telling them they had better hurry up or they were all going to be late for their next class. She grabbed her back, stuffed her things into it and turned around to say something to Naka. She finally caught his attention to ask him,"Hey, you didn't quite seem here the beginning of the class, you ok?" She had asked him in Japanese, knowing that sometimes it was easier for him to converse in his first language.

Naka looked at his page, it was only half full with notes and even that was only because he wasn't completely sure about what would and wouldn't be on the test.
"I had an encounter when I went off to train in the forbidden forest. Studying is generally a lot easier now and I haven't needed to pay attention as much in most of my classes." He explained. He couldn't tell her exactly what it was but he could show her his eternity drive power, but he wasn't in a position to do that right now. He'd used it to study the night before and pretty much everything the teacher had said was just reaffirming things he already knew right at that point.
"I awakened a new power."

Sorcha stopped and just looked at him,"a new power?, but that's awesome!She walked beside him as they continued to their next class. She was filled with so many questions, she was definitely going to have to get him alone to find out all of the answers. She sensed he didn't want to talk about them right now. Before they split up to go their separate ways she commented,"You are going to have to tell me all about it later when we get together for your lessons, and be ready to answer a lot of questions, you are so lucky, I wish i could get a new power, I have such a hard time with the ones I got"

She waved to him as she continued on, she was mentally shaking her head as she walked, wondering how you could even get a new power at their age.

Naka smiled and was more than happy to take Sorcha up on the offer. He enjoyed their lessons, and was more than happy to offer her an explanation.
"Your powers ah fine. You just need to learn how to controru them." He replied in english. He was getting better at it now, having much less trouble fitting words together, but he still had trouble with those damnable "L's." He understood the power he'd awakened well enough but something told him there was still some information missing. To that end, he was going to have to find and meet Alistair once more. Perhaps he could glean something else. He kept these thoughts to himself though and walled them off, making sure to try to keep others from being able to read it from his mind.
