It was their first meeting.
After weeks of coloring posters, handing out fliers, and speaking publicly to students around the courtyard, it was time to get this club on the road. Her sponsor was on the way, and the club had the school’s seal of approval. It was five minutes to the beginning of the club and Pollyanna was putting on the finishing touches.
The tower was rented out to allow the club to make their meetings. A circle of chairs found their way in the middle of the rom, while the outside was lined with tables of desserts and snacks. The reason for picking this place was that of symbolism- if she encouraged students like her to rise up, maybe the location would assert her belief.
She is an artist. Symbolism came with the trade.
With the banner up- reading ‘WELCOME GMO’S!’- she was ready to go. She dusted her dress off, and proceeded to wait. She could only hope that people would actually show up.
