"It is recommended we retreat into the forest surrounding the school, that way we will be harder to find and they will likely give up the chase. When the high-alert-status has gone down, you should be able to make your way back into the school without being noticed." He was afraid of her being outcasted in some manner if she stuck around him too long. After all, they surely began to assume she was one of his cohorts or something.

"I think that person with him might be one of the students! He must have a hostage!" One of the teachers said.

He wasn't able to hear what the teacher said, but obviously they were assuming quite the opposite. "Follow me if you will, Miss Shaeman, I know the forest rather well and believe I know an area they will not find us." Assuming she did follow him, he would lead her into the forest starting with an obvious trail used often by the students for nature walks.

One of the large decorative armors that was up for display within the main hall of the school suddenly twitched. The eyesockets within the helm suddenly gained a brilliant blue glow to them as the entire humanoid armor came to life. It came out of its usual lifeless formal stance, bearing a sword and shield in a manner prepared for warfare. Its head turned towards the direction of its foe - of course, a wall was between them - before it began making its way towards the exit.

Shaeman put her hands on her hips, giving Alistair a critical look.
"You sound like you've got a serious stick up your backside," she said one eyebrow raised. She watched as he started to walk away, wondering exactly what he was doing and why he was desperate not to be seen. She scratched at an ear, and then remembered something. She was here in hiding. It was a good place to hide, lots of strange goings on as was normal in a school for the 'gifted'. If she lost control of her magic, it was just another occurrence. Nothing very noteworthy. If she got caught breaking the rules, she might get thrown out. She'd be vulnerable again. She hesitated. Follow Alistair or strike out on her own and try to get back to the dorm? At least her headache was getting a little better with every step that took the angel away. It would be even better if it weren't for the clanking noise that was getting louder and louder. Clanking noise? She turned in the direction of the sound. A suit of armour was slowly walking towards her.
"Oh, Arias!" She gasped. Finding her feet again, she began to streak after Alistair.
"We've got company!" She warned as soon as she caught up with him, trying to ignore the wave of nausea. "That Scooby-Doo monster reject over there!"

"Scooby who now?" He asked, clearly not understanding the reference. He turned to gaze at the creature that Shaeman was referring to. "A knight in shining armor?" He shrugged. The armor moved rather slowly, presumably due to its weight. It most certainly was making its way towards them, though. "Wait, its eyes are glowing.." He looked up at the sky as if searching for something before turning back towards Shaeman and at the same time pointing at the moving suit of armor. "I don't think there is a person inside. Its animated. But it seems to be moving pretty slow, so if we keep moving it won't catch up."

At those words the armor suddenly broke out into a high speed sprint.

"... Or not. Run for it!" He cried out in a dramatic and frantic voice, grabbing Shaeman by the hand in an attempt to to pull her into the forest away from the armor as fast as possible. However, with as fast and tireless as the animated armor seemed to be moving, it was fairly obvious it would eventually catch up to them.

Amarant focused his energy in a meditative stance. He saw everything the armor could "see". It didn't exactly look like the girl was a hostage. Although, she didn't seem happy to be around the intruder either. Not that Amarant blamed her, that guy just seemed really strange. He commanded his animated minion to push itself to top speed. Of course the metal it was made of was rather heavy, but Amarant was a master at his ability, this was easy for him, even if he was getting on in years. His minion would catch up to the two in no time, and finally he could get some sleep... darn kids.

"You don't know Scooby Doo? You have to be one of the more uncultured beings I have ever met," Shaeman said, shaking her head at Alistair. She kept an ear on the clanking noise, glad that it was keeping up it's slow, regular rhythm. That meant that she and Alistair had plenty of time to run.

Or not.

Shaeman snarled in pain as Alistair's skin touched hers, burning it. She snatched her hand back. Her normally grey-tinted skin had been seared red. SHe put it to the back of her mind. Adrenaline surged through her muscles still sore from the jump, forcing her to run after the the angel. The horror movie reject was gaining quickly on the pair. The wind tugged at Shaeman's cloak, half strangling her as she gasped for breath, unwilling to stop in the desperate dash.

His hand burned her? But that would only happen if she had negative energy within her body that rejected the positive energy he had within his own. And she would only have enough negative energy inside of her to be burned if she was demonic in nature...

Well then, this was certainly interesting.

He did not find much time to react appropriately to the situation, particularly when he noticed that she began to follow him regardless. Alistair made a quick decision that her demonic lineage likely made her adept at dodging obstacles at high speed - she did survive that fall fairly well - and thus he would not need to stick to the path but rather cut through the brush that the forest contained. It was his expectation that Shaeman would have no issue with the obstacles presented off-trail, but that the animated suit of armor would have issues because of its weight making its way through the bushes and tree branches. If the two of them could lose line of sight of the animation, then they could probably escape it without combat.

He would also prefer not taking a chance that the person that animated the armor could also see through its eyes, thus giving away his (or Shaeman's) face.

Amarant followed the two as they made their way towards the forest. He noticed that the girl was apparently offended when the young man tried to grab her hand (his animation wasn't close enough to see what really happened, after all), but she followed him regardless which made him believe that it was not a hostage situation. Was he planning to lead her into the brush instead of taking the path? Looked like he realized that it was impossible to outrun an animated creature.

However...

An experienced old man such as him, a master of his ability, wasn't restricted to animating just one creature.
