"Needed a vacation from this damned place anyway. Going back to my cursed roots was fun. Plus, what could I possibly miss that's important? Some teenage crush? Doesn't seem like Tara conquered the world or anything."
He chuckled.

"Don't play with me wench. Only a month ago I would've killed you on sight. Now I hardly care enough to do so. But I've seen far too many innocents felled by your kind, far too many. Go to your cows, you are what you eat."
He chuckled.
