Anna did a few loops and a couple more rolls before she returned to the ground. She was getting better at landing, though she did stumble a bit as her feet finally touched down, and used her wings to keep herself from falling onto her face. That would have been super embarrassing, but fortunately, the Gods of Coordination were on her side today.

She was a little breathless from her flight, but it had caused her adrenaline to surge, coursing energy through her small body. Anna forced herself to slow her breathing so she didn't seem quite as winded. "That's about all I've got so far," she told June, her wings folding up neatly behind her back.

It was still...difficult to look directly at him without her face flushing, though it was already flushed from her flight, so she hoped that would hide it well enough. He was just so...darn handsome, she'd never seen anyone quite like him. Boys didn't usually make her react this way; before June, she'd just never found an interest in them other than as friends. It was new...and strange.

June applauded as the siren flew back to the ground, meeting her a little halfway (making sure he wouldn't have been in her way as she touched the ground, of course.) Evidently, she seemed she exhausted much of her strength from flying, tell tale enough that she hadn't quite gotten used to it yet. Nonetheless, June was quite honestly impressed. After all, flight was a skill foreign to him.

"I'd say you looked marvelous," he said to her. It was easy to notice how he couldn't seem to catch her gaze. June was familiar with the reaction, fairly aware she was flustered around him. Cute, very cute. He'd let her have the moment, pretending he could notice the look on her face for now.

In the meantime, he'd at least keep up a conversation with her, for as long as they could. "So how long has it, did you say, since you started?"

Her pounding heart was starting to fade into a more trembling pulse from his presence. She tilted her head as she considered his question. "Umm. Maybe, like, a couple of weeks? I was in a wheelchair at the time when they suddenly appeared. I broke my leg and a couple of ribs in a car wreck. That was...yeah, about two weeks ago. Good thing they have doctors who can do magic heal-y stuff here on the island," she wiggled her fingers as she said 'magic heal-y stuff' to illustrate the effect.

"What...uhm...kinds of powers do you have? If you don't mind me asking," aside from just essential hot-ness, she added mentally. Some people were rather guarded about their powers, or knew almost nothing about them. He struck him as the type to be rather knowledgeable, though, about powers and such. Or maybe she was just a little biased.

June chuckled at the gesture about the magic they used in the hospitals. An enviable skill, he considered them to be but if he had to be real, neither his parents had those but they were both great doctors either way. "Two weeks? An impressive improvement then. Most people take time to adjust to repaired limbes, even more for new appendages. You've got a gift," he told her, flashing an encouraging smile at the siren.

The question she gave him in turn seemed to be a little more of a topic he often danced around. Many people had opinions about people with energy draining capabilities, and the fact that he'd developed it into something more he could exploit didn't sit well with many others. "I'm attuned with life energy. I've been learning to expanding into psi-related abilities," he told her. Not completely a lie: after learning hypnosis, he was considering if his affinity for absorbing energies could make way for related powers. "I'm a bit behind with that though, so I don't quite have anything to show, unfortunately."

Anna didn't entirely know what psi-related abilities meant, but she nodded anyway, as though she understood. From what it sounded like, it was something to do with psychic stuff? She was still a little distracted by how utterly attractive this male was to her that she didn't think too hard about it. It wasn't worth the extra effort to pull her brain completely away from that train of thought.

She tilted her head a little as he mentioned that he was behind in his abilities, and knowing what they did and all that. "I've found that the best way of figuring out my powers is to practice. I've got this cool power that lets me manipulate people's emotions...to an extent. And when I play music or sing, it has this fascination effect on people. If you want to, like...practice stuff, I'm willing to be your guinea pig, so long as it's not like...dangerous or anything. I'd rather not have fire thrown at me or something." She smiled. Anything to get to spend a little more time around him.

June's smile turned thoughtful for a moment. While he had actually considered expanding his abilities, he hadn't done much at all with practice. Mostly to the fact that in the past few months, he had his focus on way too many things at once to even try new things for his abilities. Although, now that he thought about it... he did have it easier now.

"I might have guessed you sang; I'm sure you sound like an angel," the psionic said with a slight chuckle. Offering to be a guinea pig was a little too much, but June would have just taken it another way. Reaching out to tuck a stray lock of her hair, he too the opportunity to sneak in some of her energy without making a fuss. "And the offer is lovely, though maybe when it's less experimental; I wouldn't want you feeling side effects. And don't worry about fireballs," he laughed, "That might be a bit too advanced for me at my level.

"In any case, would I interest you in going to a cafe sometime?"

She nodded in understanding - it was sweet of him to care enough to not want her to be miserable by voluntarily being experimented on, even if she'd offered. He was nice. She blushed a little as he tucked a piece of her hair back into place. She couldn't really believe her ears when he asked his next question.

Like...like a date?

Okay, well, maybe he hadn't specified that it was a date, but Anna couldn't help but think it could have been. She bit her lip and shifted her weight from one foot to the other. "Sure, I'd like that," she replied, trying not to sound too nervous or excited or anything. She didn't want to give the wrong impression. Something in the back of her mind was telling her that she shouldn't put all of her eggs in one basket with this one, but hell, he was cute, and she was cute, so she liked her chances on this one.

"When...did you want to go? I'm pretty much free whenever."

June smiled at her, it seemed genuine enough, and perhaps it was. Though the thoughts behind it seemed less kind than how what he'd spoken outwardly. He'd be nice, he spoke in his mind, it wasn't as if he'd be doing her wrong. He had friends who didn't mind his type of company -- it shouldn't make any difference.

"I was thinking this weekend," he said, rather cheerfully. There was no sense of malice in his tone; not that he planned such in the first place. He liked new people, and he very much liked socializing. Getting to feed on his company was simply a bonus. "I still have a few things on my plate until then so, how about Sunday afternoon at Oceania Park? I'll be in the city in the morning to visit work but that's about it for me."

June snapped his fingers thoughtfully, as if realizing something. Procuring a card from out of his pockets, June went to write down his number at the back of it. "I should be going now, but we should keep in touch."

Handing her the note, the psionic gave her a wink, before he turned away saying "I'll be seeing you on the weekend."

This was a terrible exit lmao. You can add a final closing post if you feel the need for it
