"You do? Oh thank... sometimes I worry I might come off bothersome so... sorry if I ever am." apologized Pallavi even if she had no reason to. Realizing that Lycia has poured the two them each a cup tea, Pallavi graciously takes the cup and sips on the warm beverage. After a few gingerly sips, she plucks cookie for herself and takes a bite. She finds herself nodding in understanding as tells her about her gift, as well as how tired it makes her.

"Oh... I can relate to that." mused Pallavi just as she finished a cookie "Just... being awake for me is exhausting most of time. At least when you fall asleep you can come here right?"

Lycia yawned just thinking about being awake and covered her mouth with the half eaten cookie and giggling. "Yes I sleep for many hours each night but I always come to the Dream when I sleep," she confirmed and smiled at Pallavi. Lycia didn't get a choice. Sleeping meant she was here creating the dream world for people. But she loved the Dream and all the amazing things that happened in it. "Maybe we can make a group for naps at the school," she laughed.

As they spoke the wagon lurched forward a little as it began to move, apparently now hitched to some of the larger Natau and headed towards a great sandstone-walled city surrounded on all sides by sand dunes. Lycia nearly fell over from the movement and she did actually spill some of her tea on her dress. She looked down at the spill for a moment in dismay but then looked over at the city and smiled wide again. It wasn't home, but it was similar. Even down to the myriad of colorful flags and pennants on the walls, denoting the various families and companies that called the city home. Once more the girls eyes sparkled with delight, forgetting the spill entirely.

There were guards with long curved blades affixed to poles, though they appeared relaxed from their distant point of view. They seemed to be watching a vague crowd meandering into the city via a large metal gate, though it was hard to pick out the specifics of any one person.

"Oh! That could be a good idea! Maybe we could do that." agreed Pallavi at the mention of group naps. There were likey many other students whom required frequent napping as well so getting them all to a common area to sleep might be an interesting idea.

Then the cart started to move on its own. As Pallavi looked she saw it was Natau from ealier now dragging the wagon with them. How or when the Natau hitched themselves to the cart Pallavi was unsure but such minor questions where not really worth asking as everything just seems to follow dream logic anyway. The two of them sat in comfort, enjoying their tea and biscuits as they ride along.

The wagon then took them to city with stone walls, sandy dunes hugging at their base. The playful colors of flags, craved images of figures of importance, and the bustling crowds made the place feel as though it came straight out of fairy-tale! She oh and aw at every detail before she looks to Lycia and asks: "Oh Lycia! Look at this city? What might this place be?"

Lycia was thrilled so many people were interested in some kind of nap club. Even if it wasn't a big group that actually got involved it would be kinda fun. Like that sleepover thing that people mentioned sometimes.

As the wagon drew closer and closer to the city, the crowds slowly parting around them, Lycia clambered to her feet and leaned on the front edge of the wagon to look out at the sights with a grin. "It is like my home but not. My home was in a place like that," she exclaimed excitedly and gestured at a taller building in the center of the city. With the walls and the distance it was mostly just the taller rounded mounds of the upper floors. About half a dozen or so short tower like structures that were clearly sticking up out of a palatial building.

The guards at the gate looked up at the two girls on the wagon as they made the Natau stop. One of them, a man with a humongous mustache, stepped forward and asked who they were and what their business was in the city. Curiously no name was given for the city. Like it didn't have one yet until one of the dreamers or Lycia thought of it. Lycia looked back at Pallavi and giggled.

"We are the princesses. Do you not know us?" She wasn't actually sure if it would work. Many times Lycia couldn't pull a title or position of authority on the NPCs in the Dream. It wasn't much of an adventure if she got what she wanted all the time.

"Ah!" was all Pallavi let out, now understand the purpose of this place. What a home Lycia must have had. How prefect a replica it was Pallavi could never be sure but it was well was still a beautiful representation of the memory of Lycia's home city.

Pallavi sat comfortably on top the cart, waving greetings at faceless passerby's until the Natau were stopped by burly guardmen. The one with large mustache question their purpose in coming to this city. Before she could think of anything to say Lycia interjected, telling the man that they where princesses! She looked over to Lycia, now registering what she doing and goes along with it. She pulls back her hood and looks to the grad with soft smile.

"We are on important diplomatic business and would appreciate a timely entrance inside."

The guard seemed mildly puzzled. Why would two princesses arrive alone, without some sort of escort. Where were their servants and guards? Why were they traveling with only pillows and a team set?

But Lycia seemed to earnest that she was a princess and if they really were on important business he didn't want to get in trouble for hindering them. Out of respect he turned away as Pallavi removed her hood and with that he really couldn't investigate more. "Very well, I'll have someone escort you to the palace and make sure you meet with the royal guard there," he exclaimed and gestured for them to continue through the doors.

There was a comically long pause while Lycia looked at the Natau and then Pallavi before... kinda pulling on the reins a bit. The animals didn't seem to want to get moving but eventually started walking.

As they moved into the city one younger guard in spotless robes and shiny leather armor walked alongside the wagon. Lycia leaned in really close to Pallavi and pulled the girl's hood back on. "It worked. Maybe we can get into the palace too," she giggled and whispered. Covering her mouth as the young guard looked over, but it didn't seem like he had really heard her.

Pallavi watched confusion on the guards face. Though they were eventually let through she was expecting the man to have just graced them with praise and let them through. A lot of times in these dreams, usually what you say goes so it was a little strange for her for the guard to have expressed any suspicion. Even when the gates finally opened, it took awhile for the Natau to decide to move into the city.

"OH... yeah maybe we will." whispered back Pallavi, glancing at the guard for moment before whispering back to Lycia "But... what might happen if... errr... they don't let us in? Then what?"

It was in this moment that Pallavi realized that this dream have been world to itself... a world with permanent consequences just like the real world! She thought by claiming that they were indeed princesses made them so here but... what if doesn't work that way in here? What if the consequences here carried over? Such thoughts dwelled on her as thought this place was but dream... perhaps it was alive as well.

The wagon slowly made it's way through the sprawling city. Past rows of colorful awnings shielding small shopfronts from the dual suns. Each one displaying assortments of unusual fruits and grains, fabrics and even some jewelry here and there. Elsewhere there were more durable goods made of bone and wood and stone.

"I do not know what will happen. That is the fun part. Maybe we will fight to escape and find a den of criminals to hide with. Or we get let in and have dinner with the prince," she whispered back excitedly. Having to cover her mouth and lower her voice a few times as her excitement made her speak louder by accident.

Before long though they were drawing closer to the palace. It had a few towers but overall it was more of a squat shape, likely because building too tall on sandy ground wasn't possible. A dozen or so guards were there to meet them at the gates.

"What should we tell them?" Lycia asked Pallavi. They didn't have too much time to make sure their stories matched but... well adventures were not meant to be slow and plodding. Not in Lycia's mind anyway.

"Oh well... that is interesting." commented Pallavi, realizing that Lycia was going with this go with the flow sort of plan. And while that bring excitement, it also brings some concern with it.

Sure the two of them will end up just fine but... what about the rest of Lycia's little world that she has built? What will happen to this city AFTER their adventure here? Will it just fade into the ether or live on as tale forever remembered by citizens of this dreamland? Maybe she is just overthinking this...

Before she knew it the two of them arrived at that palace. Whatever worries she wanted to disclose would now have to wait as Lycia looked to her in collaborating a story! While escaping a palace full of royal guard would be a lot of fun... she would rather this adventure end on good terns and not cause chaos in the city so she better think of one fast.

"Oh yeah... uhh" Pallavi scratches her chin, trying to think of the character she was trying to be on the spot. When it came her, she speaks to Lycia in hurried yet hushed tone.

"Okey... well princess sent to establish diplomatic relations... sort of like ambassadors. We both come from different kingdoms but since we are best friends our parents thought we could do it together. And... uhh... the pillows we sit upon are gifts that present to the royal family as good faith. That works yes? We can figure this out as we go along."

The girls quickly threw together a story in hushed excitement, looking extraordinarily like two close friends whispering to each other. Which in a strange way helped sell their story a little bit.

Lycia giggled and waved at one of the guards as they arrived. "Your city is beautiful. I am Princess Lycia from... Akthala to the east and this is...," she announced and glanced over at Pallavi as she put her arm around her. Hoping she would introduce herself too.

"We are sent to speak with the... prince," she added and tried to stifle the giggle welling up inside her at the game they were playing. Strictly speaking Lycia wasn't great at lying. Fortunately she left the talk of the pillow gifts for Pallavi to explain. Maybe she could say it with a straight face.

The guards were trying to make eye contact to judge whether the girls were lying. Or at least up until Lycia mentioned being a princess. With her hooded she looked the part and rather than be offensive they averted their gaze while talking.

"Apologies Princesses, we weren't advised of any visitors for this evening. Usually we have a messenger sent and...," he glanced around at the cart. "...what happened to your driver? Or your... servants and guards? Surely it's too dangerous for two princesses to travel alone." Rather than sounding suspicious though he seemed more concerned. For their safety and for what had to have been a failure on their part or... perhaps things had been unsafe on the road. Neither were befitting of their small but prosperous kingdom.
