Sofia whined, her paws tapping the ground with both anxiety and impatience as Caius walked around her in a slow circle. She kept her head and tail lowered, trying to be good...she could still taste the blood in her mouth, and the scent was so thick in the air. It felt like an eternity until he finally gave her permission to claim her kill.

She pounced for the deer again, her tail wagging as she tore with tooth and claw into the deer's soft flesh. It gave way like butter under a hot knife, the ravenous wolf gulping down huge chunks of meat and flesh as she tore them off. It didn't take long before the carcass to be stripped of any substantial pieces of meat. She'd even tossed several pieces Caius's way, sharing her prize with him.

The wolf was sated. Sofia licked the blood from her muzzle and looked to Caius. She padded over to the older wolf and pushed her nose against his neck, thanking him for the hunt.

He gratefully ate the meat Sofia shared with him, the night had gone well. Not only in that they'd made a kill, but she had controlled her intincts. Caius was proud of her.

The larger wolf felt her press her nose into his neck, turning his head he nuzzled her. He did enjoy her company, she was kind, gentle and beautiful. Caius stepped beside her, sending her calm, and friendly thoughts.

Caius found himself closer to her than he intended, his fur brushing up against her. For normal wolves it wouldn't have met much, for werewolves on the other hand, it could mean much more.

The display of thanks turned into one that mirrored affection, lasting longer than it usually did. Sofia's wolf sighed in relief from having contact with the man that she'd been gradually growing closer and closer to, day by day. It wasn't a stretch to say that she might even love Caius - there was certainly something there that she felt for him, but she wasn't sure if he felt the same way. With his fur brushing up against hers when they stood side-by-side, though, she was starting to suspect that he might, and that gave her confidence...though not enough to say anything to him.

Let's go home, she offered, and began to trot away from his warmth and back to the house. On nights where she changed and hunted, she tended to sleep in wolf form - it took a lot of energy to change back and forth, and despite her full belly, she wasn't up to it. Sofia padded back to the house and up the steps, then found a comfortable spot on the living room rug and curled up.
