"Ah! Well I would offer to help you with math though... I can't really admit that the maths are really my forte." admitted Izumi. There was a reason she became creative writing teacher and not a math teacher after all. Still she could at least provide try some assistance.

"And it seems that your learning more about your abilities even if its a bit rough. It is one of the primary goals of Starlight Academy with helping its students understand and control their gifts in safe manner while trying to provide a normalized general education. Now you said you are like an energy vampire but... different? Do you know what exactly makes you different?" inquired Izumi just as she pops some more of the yakisoba in her mouth, her ears pointed keenly onto Neon.

"Thank you, sis. Don't feel bad, math isn't my forte either. Except in calculating my expenses in game back then, and now it works to control how I invest in goods here. Kinda made me a wiser buyer.", it clearly amused Neon: as much as he didn't remember much about who he used to be, a lot of his game knowledge led him on in how to invest, maybe that would come back to him eventually...

Once Izumi voiced her own thoughts, to which he felt in agreement with, the questions lingered in the air for a moment, before he went to explain: "My form is related to a class in the game, Fox Illusionist. That class, of course, specializes in tricks, illusions, transformation, debuffs, and much more. Still, you know, in culture there are some belief they prey on Yang energy to create a balance and ascent, and such energy is found in humans, specially men. My case, hm... Doesn't require me to go AS FAR as they would... And I need a different portion."

In a snap of fingers, he created small projections of living flames vaguely shaped like three human beings and two foxes. One human was of a pink flame, the other was a mix of pink and cyan, and the third one was completely cyan. As for the foxes, one was pink, the other was light green, making it clear it is meant to represent him.

As the next portion of the explanation went on, the flames danced about on the table: the pink fox dominated the cyan human, leaving him "dead", becoming itself cyan and pink, while the other two "humans" turned to it. The green one then merely brushed against the pink's leg, and in a while that one "died" as well. But furthermore: the green one also could do the same to the other two "humans", and even to the fox, as the now pink fox ran around and the two chased themselves off the table and poofed against a wall, the "humans" also disappearing.

"So yes... Basically, I can just hold someone's hand, hug, rest my head against, and I'll be draining them of both Yin and Yang types of energy. From the controlled tests that were done, I could accidentally kill a human being if I'm not careful enough."

While Izumi found the fiery display to be colorful and playful, the implications a little unsettling with how it was Neon's kind obtain their energy. They way Neon explained it only confirmed the potential dangers to others if Neon was not careful. As concerning as that revelation was, Izumi tried not to let that little fact bother her much. Afterall she had a few students whom had similarly worrying feeding diets such as blood, spiritual energy, or emotion releases where the potential of harm or even death can be involved. If they turned out fine then Neon should turn out okay as well so long as they continue to exercise caution.

"Well that just means you will always have to conscious about. But you are not the first person I know whom has such concerns nor particular feeding arrangements. But do have you something. Is your ability passive where you are draining the Yin and Yang energies whenever you are touching someone? Or is it more an active ability where you can choose to absorb someone's energy while you are touching them?"
spoke up Izumi. It was an important detail to know as Neon could need one of those warning bracelets or maybe even a nullification bracelet. But only if it was truly unnecessary.

Neon gave a nod and replied on his control of such ability: "Active, I can control it perfectly now that I know of it. Before I borrowed energy from someone without fully knowing of it, but no harm done, since she had more than enough energy to spare.", the day it happened however was still a bit hazy, he was remembering it as if it was a dream, but how come he was energized after that?

But now he found himself questioning... "Do Tanuki feed on some sort of energy as well?"

"No, not quite. We don't consume energies like yourself but we do enjoy sweet and savory foods. A plump tanuki is a symbol of good luck and wealth. Which means I need to gain some weight ho ho ho!" answered Izumi, patting her belly like drum three times and letting out a hearty laugh. With a wry grin she then adds: "Oh and we sake. We consume plenty of that as well! Plenty of drunken moonlit nights among the tanuki~ Poor humans could just never seem to keep up whenever one happens to stumble among us."

After that amusing thought, she turned her head and looked at cabinet full of liquor. For a moment she thought about opening up a bottle but... she had classes tomorrow and would rather not have to deal with a hangover. Plus she was suppose to set a good example for Neon... as well as her own kid.

"Well if you ever need some more energy to "borrow", let me know. I can give you a bit of my own energy if you ever really need. And if not me, well we can find someone out there who can be of help."

"That seems much simpler than what I go through, but I know about the symbology of tanuki. The shops in the game had at least two statues of those, a large one by the entrance, a small one somewhere near the counter.", Neon gave a small chuckle, "But sounds like your kind has a lot of fun." It was subtle, but he did notice Izumi seemed interested in drinking something, and understood her reluctance too.

Once offered, the fox boy gave a nod and responded: "Just be sure to be full of energy at all times, big sis. I don't know the exact effects of draining non-human's energies, could make someone sleepy or moody."
