The first of many confrontations

She took his final words as an invitation.

Hecate took a different route, making sure that no one could notice she would follow him. She had to keep her act up until 3817, Zach as he referred to himself, saw through her motives. She wasn't made for undercover, no. Yet she still had this job to do.

She found him at the back of an alley, not to far from the City Hall, waiting for her. She didn't make any effort to hide anymore.

"So you're this 'Eden' then?" she spoke, walking past the shadow of the building. "I'd expected to meet you first but it looks like I had the pleasure of meeting your other side."

Hecate had to brush off his 'compliment', not because she wasn't too fond of being called pretty, but more of the fact she wasn't about to be angry because she almost felt demeaned at how he said it. Just almost.

"I prefer not to fight, if I have to speak for myself," she told him, keeping her arms tucked behind her. Her stance seemed harmless but it actually allowed her to let her hands hover closely to her staff that hung from her belt, retracted and hidden from plain sight. She made no effort to move. "Though I would admit I am expecting our meeting could become a battle of who can remain standing given your record, I would rather try and settle this without resorting to that." She anticipated this wasn't going to end without a little scuffle.

"It's fairly simple. I came here to bring you back and correct what it is that needs to be fixed. Now, I could ask you of your conditions for you to peacefully turn yourself over. Of course, unless you prefer to fight now, I will oblige. "

There was a smirk that Hecate had to repress; an urge to laugh at the predictability of this situation. There was a very small chance to speak to 'Zach' about this and talk him out of this, but the possibility was there. And here was Eden whom she was already sure couldn't be swayed by words. She could have laughed at the irony of it all but there were more pressing matters.

Hecate had pulled out her staff as soon has her eyes caught his movement, blocking his first swing with, "Then I suppose we have to settle it this way," she spoke breathily before she pushed him back. Following with her own movements, she spun on her feet followed by her staff to strike him once, twice, while she still could. They were too close for her to use her own personal weapon at the moment; she needed to get an advantage first.

Hecate could admit to being short on weaponry compared to Eden but she wouldn't say it aloud. She was quite confident she could hold up her defenses for longer than she needed. She didn't throw unnecessary attacks and kept her pace, planning to tire him out first so when he'd caught her strike, she didn't pull away immediately.

She didn't quite appreciate the proximity though. "I'd rather be dead on the mission then go back empty-handed," she told him with a sneer. She made the effort of pushing him back again right as he let go of her staff, while she took a step back. Her eyes didn't miss the spiked chain and couldn't help the smirk that appeared on her lips. You're playing right into my trap, Eden.

It wasn't quite time yet though. Hecate lunged forward, her staff aimed to jab at his midsection; right as she did, she ducked and swung her leg to swipe him off his feet, in an attempt to pin him down.

Hecate's attempt to pin him down succeeded but she had a feeling this wasn't the end of it. No, that was too easy even for her. She was almost sure there was going to be something more to this. Nonetheless, she played along and leaned close to him, her weight keeping him down further while her lips hovered closely to his ear.

She wanted to see that smug look off of his face at least first. She at least wanted the satisfaction of seeing that before she ended it all. "Oh, unfortunately for you Eden, I like to believe that I can go back with my mission accomplished too. It would be a shame if I gave up too soon."
