Henghai had his classroom for some time now, but he wanted it to be truly his. He could not stand how bland it was and knew it needed some of his personality. That was why he was walking down the halls, carrying boxes of plants, knick-knacks, and other random junk Henghai thought could spice up his classroom, but it was mostly plants overall. To make things easier, he used a cart to hold multiple boxes instead of carrying them all in his arms. He was not the only one carrying boxes; however, he also had small plants with legs and arms scrambling behind him with most holding boxes in their hands and a few rolling a cart behind them like Henghai.

The extra help made things so much easier as he walked through the halls, though he had to be careful about not crowding the halls or knocking into passing students and teachers. Not like he was a ridiculous person around. He still looked pretty silly, but he was on his break, the halls were not too active, and most others seemed to be minding their business. He got a few strange looks, specifically towards his plants, but he was able to ignore them and carry on towards his classroom.

As preparations for the beginning of the school year were underway, freshmen like Breken passed through the halls like rats, scampering here and there, following some tour guide or other. Breken, however, didn't have that luxury. His introduction to school had been done a few days back, and he was well into getting to know his classes, and all that. Across his arms laid a stack of books, binders, supplies, and other things he'd possibly need for class- Though, they served as more of a curtain blocking his vision now. To guide himself, his head was poked out to the left of the pile of books, trying to get a glimpse at the corridor in front of him, resulting in a lousy angle of vision to navigate himself with. He wasn't too worried, though- Class wasn't til half an hour, and the route there was short. Even if you accounted for the freshman's inexperience, he probably wouldn't get too lost or distracted.

But, as with all things, nothing was certain. The unfamiliar professor coming around the corner wasn't very surprising, but the potted plants trailing behind him... Now THAT was a whole different story. Upon seeing them, Breken flashed an involuntary grin, eyes trailing from plant to plant. "Hey there!" the tree boy chirped enthusiastically, confident they could hear him. In truth, he was pretty surprised, but no so much fascinated. After all, it wasn't the first sentient plant he'd seen- For God's sake, Breken himself was basically an ent from Lord of the Rings. But they were the first walking plants he'd seen in Starlight if you didn't count his own reflection, and he was relieved to know he wasn't an outsider.

Knowing he had time on his hand, the boy paused, resting his chin atop the stack of books to look at the walking plants. "Only other plants I've seen won't even talk to me! Where you guys from?"

So focused on getting his boxes to his room, Henghai barely noticed the large humanoid tree dressed in the uniform of a high schooler. He was more concerned about how he was going to set up his room. There were an awful lot of plants in the boxes, and while it was entirely appropriate back on Ilada to have a home covered in greenery (for Earth oricenta, at least), over here, he had a feeling it would not be treated so kindly. Stepping into a classroom covered in vines and floral would probably be taken as a sign of someone with a worrying obsession. He was not about to allow himself to be known as the crazy man who was so in love with plants he turned his classroom into a garden. Though on second thought, a classroom full of plants sounded beautiful. Perhaps it would not be so bad to be known as the man who created a garden within his classroom. The teachers who taught botany may not be as pleased, however.

He came back to reality when the boy stopped and spoke again, and this time Henghai was sure it was towards his walking plants and not him himself. Realizing he accidentally ignored the boy, he grimaced and walked back over to the student, then switched back over to his usual kind smile. Despite the smile on his face, internally, Henghai was uncomfortable. People who mistook his minions as sentient creatures made Henghai worry that soon someone would report him due to mistaking his minions as sentient lifeforms and his slaves. It was also just a shame to tell someone, "Oh, they're not sentient. They're connected to me mentally. Sorry for the disappointment." That left Henghai with an awkward laughter, but he still tried to keep his friendly attitude. "But to answer your question, they're from my garden back home. I guess if you actually want to speak to a living plant, that would be me." This time, his laughter was more genuine.
