The finding of the impossible

The forbidden forest was dark. It was dusk and the moon would soon rise. And in the middle of the forest stood a man. He stood silently watching unseen demons float by.
He was whispering to himself. Watching intently as the world began to sleep. The realm of the night was opening.

Petrova rolled her eyes. She wondered why it was forbidden. It didn't look dangerous. As always, the teenage girl was wearing all black, so it was a little hard to see her in the growing darkness.

She brushed her black hair away from her face and kept walking. Everything was way more interesting at night time.

Ember walked quietly through the dark 'forbidden' forest. It wasn't her first time, and most likely wasn't going to be her last. It was dark, and she was practically invisible in the shadows of the trees, only a few rays of the moon's light was able to peek through the trees.

She could have easily lit a flame and have better light to walk around with, but she was too lazy. And besides, she liked not knowing what was up ahead, and lost in complete darkness.

Petrova kept walking, but she slowed down considerably. Not expecting anyone else to be out in the forbidden at that time of night, she started to zone out and not pay attention to what was happening around her.

The man heard footsteps coming towards him. He closed his eyes and listened more intently. He could distinctly hear two sets. But coming from different directions. Had he been spotted? he wondered.
He slowly moved into the growing shadows and quickly climbed a tree.

As Ember kept walking, she could sense that she wasn't alone in the forbidden like she'd thought. She had a big feeling there was more than one person near. Either way, she kept walking, though slowly and as quiet as a mouse.

He could see one other person sneaking through the forest. Why was she sneaking? He slowly drew his white bow from his back, he notched an arrow and waited.
He waited in the tree and watched.

She had very little patience, and knowing that there were at least two people near her, but she couldn't spot either of them got her a little annoyed. She thought she heard something very close by, so she looked around.

Then she saw it. It was a white arrow up in a tree. She'd concluded that the arrow was attached to a bow, which was attached to the hand of a person. She spotted moving and watched carefully at the arrow, being able to slightly make out the form of a guy. With her left hand she lit a fire-ball, aimed, and fired.

He dropped from the tree with lightning speed and shot an arrow into the ground at the attackers feet. "Why are you here?" He shouted.

Ember quickly jumped out of the way just as the white arrow was shot, jabbing the ground a mere ten inches from her feet. "What do you care what I'm doing here?" She snapped. She could tell he wasn't a teacher or anything, she she knew she wouldn't get in trouble with the school But her only was: who was he?
