Doll was sitting at the lakeside, an almost-finished scarf in her hands. She peers at the water searchingly, speaking aloud. "I know what water is, but why does it like to gather in such large puddles?" she frowns and tilts her head. "And why does it reflect the sky? And it's so murky.." she leans forward to peer more closely at it.
"Why does it ripple?" she gasps as she sees her own reflection. She traces the stitches on her face with a frown. "Oh my." She leans back and looks over the water. It was a nice, sunny day; but clouds were rolling in from the sea. The clouds beat on drums in the distant, and Doll looks up. "What's that noise?" she questions, looking around. She, having not been alive for long, had never heard thunder.
