Allie sat in the grass, her outfit black, her hair normal average looking. A bunch of more popular teenagers both girls and boys came towards her. The girls made the first comment, "Looky here what the cat dragged in, a gothic emo girl no?" A girl in prissy pink with blonde hair said with a mocking tone. She wanted to make Allie look like nothing but a turd on the sidewalk. Another girl commented next a blonde wannabe because she was dressed exactly like the blonde only with blue on instead of pink. "Yeah, no wonder she's sucidal and has no friends, she's just a freak."

It wasn't long before the guys joined in, "Yeah, no wonder why no one is or wants to be her boyfriend. I heard she is insane and yelled people were potato heads." A guy with muscles and popularity to boot said. Another joined in, "She's probably got nothing to show and that's why she dresses so darkly and doesn't show skin. I bet she's deformed."

Soon a small crowd gathered, and what started as people just making fun grew into a group humilation of the girl. A few tears streamed down her face as she tried to push through the throng of popular mocking people. They wouldn't let her leave, they kept making fun of her and beating on her with words. She wanted to leave but she couldn't tears streamed down her face as she sat on the ground hiding her face from the people as she cried.

Ren had been walking, minding his own business when taunts reached his ears. He searched out his staff, and held it in limbo in case he needed it. Then he teleported into the midst of the bullies.

He randomly appeared next to the blonde. He mentally searched her pockets until he found her cell phone, and then he tapped her on the shoulder. "Excuse me ma'am," he drawled a charming, lazy grin on his face as he teleported the cellphone from her pocket into the frog pond a bit of a distance away.

The blonde turned, about to make a snide remark, but was immediately stopped by Ren's dazzlingly unique gold eyes. He grinned again and winked at her. She nearly fell over. All bullying was momentarily suspended with this random appearance by the strange boy.

All the girls were amazed by him, and all the guys wondered how to get attention like that. He removed several other cellphones and deposited them also in the pond. "You didn't appear to hear me back there," he gestured lazily in the general direction of the frog pond, milking his accent for all it was worth, "But I'm afraid you and some of your pals dropped your cellphones in that frog pond over yonder." That was all they needed, and without another word, the entire pack raced towards the frog pond.

Ren knelt down in front of the girl, handing her a large bright red and white polkadotted handkerchief from his pocket. "They're gone," he said softly, his drawl somewhat diminished now that he wasn't using it to be cute. Now it just kind of warmed his words slightly.

His gold eyes seemed to have melted with kindness, and there was a small, somewhat compassionate look on his face. He didn't touch her, nor did he invade her space. Instead he just held out the hanky. He knew he was going to have to get them both out of there before the crowd came back, but he wasn't going to rush it.

Suddenly the taunting stopped, the girl pressed her hands hard against her head. She felt the spirit in her fighting against her sucidal side. She pushed with all her might but all that happened was more tears fell. She cried and cried, she didn't notice Ren or hear him till he came to her holding out a hanky telling her that they were gone. She almost hugged him and cried on his shoulder, but she didn't want to look like a idiot to some new person she just met. She accepted the hanky, "Tha.. Thank you." She wiped the tears away, and gave the hanky back. She didn't sneeze in it like most girls did in the old movies because they wanted to keep it. She sniffled lightly, trying to keep herself from crying more.

She wanted and needed a hug so much but this boy was a stranger. You don't randomly hug strangers because you need a hug. Another tear fell down her cheek, she was so sick of people. She was so sick of living, she only wanted to fight Darci and win and then die. That was all she wanted and yet it seemed both Darci and the Devil were trying to make her end her life before that. That's only why she tried harder, but each time she fell deeper and tears fell harder against her tear washed cheeks. She could barely get up because of the pain in her heart at the moment. She forced herself to her feet, numbly walking away she suddenly tilted and nearly fell just shortly after getting up. Her emotions always made her unstable when she was so depressed that she wanted to curl up and die.

The only reason she hadn't fallen when she stumbled was simply because Ren hand been at her side and caught her elbow gently, supporting her. He was a little worried that Fia might kill this girl, but he couldn't not help.

"You know," he drawled, subtly keeping stride with her, ready to catch her if she fell again, "I was on my way to get icecream when I realized I had an extra coupon and nobody to share it with." he glanced at her and raised an eyebrow, "Do you like icecream?" he questioned with a cute, puppy dog look as he cocked his head to the side.

"You know, I was on my way to get icecream when I realized I had an extra coupon and nobody to share it with. Do you like icecream?"

She sighed, "I do, but I'm afraid I can't accept. I don't really feel up to ice cream." She looked at the walk towards the dorms, she didn't really want to go back to the dorm either. She sighed giving in, "I guess I'd rather go to ice cream than go back to my dorm. That is if you don't have someone else you'd rather go with." She could kinda tell he was a taken man, he just seemed like he had someone. He was nice, but she didn't want to make a big deal out of it. Besides she didn't really know him, why would she want to act like she was friends with someone she barely knew.

She wondered if he was just helping for credit or what, she looked at him slightly. She could only wonder why people were so cruel or nice, and why so often cruel and nice people switched personalities. She wasn't in a good mood, but wasn't in rather die than fight mood. She really wasn't too into the happy mood at the moment. She really was a wreck inside, the minute she got home she'd probably fall apart and cry. She had no living relatives worth seeing, no one who cared about her enough to care for her feelings. She continued to walk with this complete stranger. Why? she didn't really know, but she guessed it was better than spending all her time crying her eyes out and wishing she was dead.
