The excessively long winded Confederation of Milky Way Species, Manta Carlos Branch is known to most locals as 'alien HQ'. While certainly not as eloquent or professional sounding, it's none the less accurate. The Confederation office serves as a hub for all things related to the confederation, which means almost all things related to alien life. Official confederation visitors go through the office first for help getting all their official documents, and even non-confederation alien life tend to be redirected there if they need assistance.
The office itself is rather unassuming. It's a small two story building that blends right in with the rest of the buildings on the street. Out front is a simple sign with it's full name, and the ground floor is split into two rooms. A reception area sits up front, complete with a series of informational pamphlets with titles such as 'proper greetings on earth' and 'things you absolutely can't do to humans'. The reception desk is almost always empty, since the office only has one worker.
The back half is taken up by an office filled to the absolute brim with filing cabinets. The confederation makes an attempt to keep track of all alien life on Manta Carlos, and for a brief period actually attempted this momentous task on paper. While the office has since converted to digital, the filing cabinets remain... even if they are empty.
The second floor serves as a small apartment, complete with a guest room in case of emergency.
