Aedan smiled through it all, he understood that some of this was awkward, bringing her date to her place of employment, especially considering her line of work, but he didn't care and he gently squeezed her hand back.

They followed the hostess and he took the seat in front of Aylin, "I should thank you, I don't get out much. I was getting cabin fever in my dorm." He gave her another smile, this one grateful, "I'm sorry I'm not really good at small talk, but I've really enjoyed talking to you."

He had forgotten all about even looking at the menu, he had a wonderfully charming girl in front of him, and at the moment that's what mattered, "I suppose I should start with school....may I ask what classes your taking."

The hostess left without a word, Aylin assumed it was to get them a glass of water before taking their drink orders. That was ok as it opened them up to a few moments of talking. Their respective menu's sat idle on the other side of the table now as she gently rubbed the tip of her tail. doing this caused her cheeks to flush a little more and raised her heart rate as it was an erogenous zone for her. Incidentally it was one of the ways she kept herself from being nervous. After all one can't really be that nervous if they are turned on.

She smiled as he mentioned he wasn't very good at small talk. That was ok by her. When they did get to talking before conversation just seemed to keep flowing easily, so she wasn't worried. She had even expected schooling to come up as a topic of conversation. "I study Cello actually. I'm in my second year of study now. My minor is physical activity." That was something she had never really mentioned to anyone before. She would often go on about her cello studies, but it was very rare that she would say anything about her athletics. It was in secret an easy set of credits, and it helped her stay in shape. "It's alot of work. Like I have to write ten solo compositions this year. Which is no small task. I have two finished so far." As difficult as her schooling was she enjoyed it greatly.

"I know your younger than me, so that places you in high school. What grade are you in? Oh and don't worry I don't mind."

He smiled and nodded, truly interested in everything she said. "I would like to hear one of your compositions one day, I haven't really played my violin in public, but I'd be willing to try a duet." He decided to leave out the fact that he only recently remembered to play violin, and the cause the holes in his memories. "Physical activity is good, keeps you healthy, I train, got little area set up in my dorm, but I like to go on runs in the forest.." He also decided to hold off on telling her that his running mate was wolf demi-god.

He gave her a smile, the glow of his eyes fluctuating slightly as they talked, "I'm a sophmore......but I uh...take a part time cybernetics class." He was a bit worried about how she'd react to him being a tech head, hell his own classmates were annoyed that a 16 year old was in the same class as them.

Aylin laughed as he explained he was a sophmore. It wasn't a bad thing. People came in all ages. And it's not like she was thirty and he was sixteen. She was only three years older. "Just don't go telling the other high school guys that your banging a college girl and we'll be ok." She teased with a small giggle. It was awesome that he was already taking college courses though. It wasn't easy to advance in such a way, and he had to face a lot of issues with his peers giving him problems because he was so young. If anything it just proved how smart he really was.

before she could say anything the Waitress arrived with a pitcher of water and filled their glasses. "Can I start you off with a drink?" She asked pleasantly, pulling out a notepad. Aylin looked over to Aedan, knowing he was too young for any liquor. In truth it was pointless for her to drink liquor as well, so she was ok ordering soda. It was after all her favorite drink.

"Could I just get a coke with a lemon wedge please." Coke had one of those flavors that was so caustic that she could taste it easily. it was why she enjoyed it.

He chuckled and blushed a bit at her teasing, "Though I have to admit dating you does bring a bit of pride out......its really amazing to be here with you."

The waitress appeared and asked for there drink order, he noticed Aylin asked for a coke, he appreciated her not getting anything alcoholic, back when his nightmares were bad he had tried wiskey to help him sleep, it was a stupid mistake and he hoped to never do it again, "I'll just have Dr. Pepper thank you." He normally got strong tasting foods and drinks to compensate for his weak taste buds.

"I hope you don't mind me asking, but what foods do you prefer? I quite like spicy foods myself." That was an understatement, his doctor had to make him change his diet because of the number of peppers he was eating.

It was nice to be out with someone who wasn't just treating her like a piece of meat. She could tell that Aedan actually like having her out like this to himself which went well to boost her own pride. It was nice to be wanted. She gave his leg a little bump with her tail. "Your doing it again. Yer being really sweet." She allowed the end of her tail to move from her grasp to the floor while she spoke. A moment later and it had wrapped gently around Aedan's leg. It was a simple gesture for her, as intimate as holding hands. She blushed a little as she did it, having not really had anybody to do something like this with. Not even her clients got this simple little action. It showed genuine interest, and even went so far as to show that he was hers for the evening.

As the waitress left to get their drinks the topic of food selections came up. Aedan revealed that he liked spicy foods. Aylin was familiar with the concept of living in a world with a reduced sense of taste as her own was severely lacking as well. "I like a little spice. Just enough to leave my lips tingling. I can eat pretty much anything. But Meats and proteins are the only thing i really get anything out of nutritionally speaking." Such was the life of a carnivore.

"So if I might ask. Why is your sense of taste diminished?" He had briefly mentioned it during their first meeting, but she had never followed up on it.

He blushed for a sec as her tail wrapped around one of his legs, he smiled, it was nice to be close to someone, he decided not to say anything and merely reached down and petted her tail a bit.

He smiled and chuckled as she explained her preference diet. She asked about his diminished sense of taste, in truth how he got his powers is an unpleasant memory, but he didn't mind explaining his senses. "Well you see when my powers were activated, my sense of sight and smell were enhached but my taste buds became weaker because of it, it actually took me a while to realize it." He smiled and tapped his nose, "but my nose can track pretty much any scent and I have night vision which is useful."

Aylin was becoming fascinated now. Aedan was one of those people who actually had an origin story. Some people would say that they were cliche, but she had always fancied them. they were always so dramatic, and such gripping tales, especially if she was interested in the person behind the story. It was even nicer to know he had a story and wasn't just born different. In her own opinion there were too many people who just had powers for no real reason.

Aedans touch on her tail caused her grip to tighten just a little. It was nice that he was comfortable with her. Comfortable enough not just to accept that she was different, but it seemed like enough to actually enjoy her differences.

She flicked out her forked tongue all the way, letting him see how long and thin it actually was before it slipped back behind her lips in a flash. "I have so few taste buds that I don't get many flavors. But I can smell things in 3D with it." That was the only way to describe her sense of smell, which was very sensitive and driven by her tongue like other snakes. "Though my other senses are just normal I guess."

The waitress had returned with there drinks, placing them on the table before saying that she would return shortly to take their orders, and leaving again. "So, Tell Me more about how you got your powers?"

A look of sadness crossed his faced and some of his nastier memories started popping up, he for forced them back down he was not letting them ruin this.

"Well...you see my abilities aren't natural," he took a sip of his soda trying to calm himself, "There caused by an artificial mutation...and I....I wasnt given a choice in the matter."

He took a breath a large drink to steady himself, "I'm sorry, it's not good dinner conversation....I like you..a lot...so I'll tell you but latter ok." He gave her smile hoping shed understand, "but...I dont think I can complain. If I didn't have these powers then I wouldn't be here with you, and that would be unacceptable."

Aylin noticed the sudden change in his tone, and even on his face. This was not a subject that was as light as she might have expected. On that note though, she wasn't sure what she could have expected. Given how nice life was here she often forgot that some people didn't achieve their powers or abilities through consensual actions. This was clearly a painful subject for him. As if on instinct she reached out to put her hand on his, smiling softly as she did. "All in due time. There is no rush to tell me anything." She was still curious, sadly even more so now, but she could wait. he would tell her eventually. For now she could focus on the moment.

She followed his lead and took a drink from her own soda. The coke was sharp and caused her lips to tingle in a pleasant way. "Ya know. I don't tell people this. But I don't think I'm from here." She knew how odd such a thing sounded but it was the truth. "I just sort of woke up here one day. I don't know anything about what was before that. When I was found I was placed in school, and yeah. That was four years ago give or take." She had come along way from the scared little girl she had been.

The waitress came back as Aylin finished talking and asked if they were ready to order. The kitchen staff were already aware that she was here and had started preparing her food, one of the perks of working here. She looked over to Aedan for a moment wondering what he might order. She was curious as well to see how much he would get. She hadn't met any humans who could eat as much as she could, but then again she was required to eat a certain amount of her body weight daily.
